Customer reviews consistently praise the food at Hungry Belly. The Naruto Roll is a standout item, described as the best fried roll with perfect crispiness and flavor that keeps customers returning. Bento boxes are also highlighted as delicious, fresh, well-portioned, and flavorful, offering a good way to sample different items. Additionally, the shrimp tempura is noted for being light, crispy, and cooked just right.

The service at Hungry Belly is described as friendly, contributing to a positive dining experience. The atmosphere is considered cozy, although the tables are noted to be relatively close together.

Hungry Belly appears to be a popular spot for both dine-in and takeaway, with a significant number of to-go and pickup orders. While one customer found some dishes, like the Spam, to be a bit salty (which they attributed to personal choices and added sauces), they still enjoyed the large portions and the Pork Katsu Bento Box, which offered a tasty variety of items.

A notable feature of Hungry Belly is their "SUPER awesome Happy Hour Menu." One customer tried the cold sake during happy hour and found it just okay, suggesting the hot sake might be a better choice. This indicates that Hungry Belly offers a happy hour with beverage options.

Despite a mention of a small parking lot, the overall consensus is that Hungry Belly is a "MUST TRY" spot for its big tasty food portions, good service, and cozy ambiance. It is recommended for local users seeking delicious Asian cuisine in Dallas.

This place never disappoints! Their Naruto Roll is hands down the best fried roll I’ve ever had—perfectly crispy, packed with flavor, and something I can’t stop coming back for. I also tried one of their bento boxes, and it was simply delicious. Everything was fresh, well-portioned, and full of flavor, making it a great choice if you want to try a little bit of everything. And of course, their shrimp tempura was just as amazing—light, crispy, and cooked just right. Great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere—definitely a spot worth visiting!

Definitely a MUST TRY spot - small parking lot - big tasty food portions - good service - atmosphere is fine, pretty close together tables, etc. A TON of TO GO and PICKUP orders - so it’s very popular. The food was a tad on the salty side for me - but it’s also part of some of the choices I made - like the Spam and adding sauces to items. But portions are large and they have a SUPER awesome Happy Hour Menu…tried the cold sake (the hot sake would have been better) but it was just okay. The spam was super salty for my taste so I could only eat one piece. The Pork Katsu Bento Box was great - a little variety of different items to try and it was super tasty!

Food is perfectly portioned. You will get full. Flavor in every bite. One of the few places I've been that the word "spicy" actually means it has some heat. Service was great. Brought our son in, and the staff took good care of him. They kept him entertained, and even though we were just getting a to go order and drinks, they made sure we had time to enjoy the drinks. Atmosphere is small and intimate, but also clean and sleek. Will definitely be back. Not a huge parking space but definitely sufficient for the capacity of the restaurant.

I’ve been wanting to try Hungry Belly for a while, and I finally got the chance! My partner and I ordered the Korean Short Rib Bento Box, which came with salad, California rolls, rice, and potstickers. I also ordered a miso soup on the side since it wasn’t included (I’m so used to bento boxes including soup). The flavors were good, and the food was satisfying overall. The restaurant itself is cute, small, and inviting, and the staff was nice. However, the service could use some improvement. Our server kept forgetting things, and I didn’t feel comfortable asking again. Also, for $25, the bento box felt a little pricey, especially without soup included. $70 including tip for 2 bento boxes, a soda, and miso soup is pricey more than what I’m used to. I came during lunch, but they didn’t have a lunch menu, so everything was full price. Despite the service and pricing, I’m interested in returning to try their sushi. Hopefully, my next visit will be a smoother experience!

everything tasted like it was cooked in the dishwasher. the sesame chicken had NO chicken and was just chunks of sauced hollow breading. the sauce on it hardened into a film of jello on top of my rice. it looks like i took a slice from the rice-dough-sesame-sauce jello pie. the vegetables were under seasoned and clearly came prepackaged and frozen. the lo main was dry and under seasoned. don’t even get me started on the sushi. it tastes like stale cholesterol and was doused in mayo. and i have ordered from here before and i should’ve never done it again because the first time i did i got the most disgusting rancid piece of tuna sashimi. if i could even call it that. we spent $155 between two orders and got nothing but disappointment for both.
