The staff goes above and beyond, displaying friendliness and thoughtfulness throughout your visit. Today, I savored their sliced fish paired with white rice and sweet and sour soup from the lunch menu—a delightful combination of flavors. The dishes are consistently served piping hot and beautifully plated, adding to the overall enjoyment. On occasion, I indulge in combining two lunch specials, finding the ox tongue particularly delicious and refreshing when served cold. Overall, Hunan Kitchen is truly amazing, delivering outstanding cuisine alongside top-notch service, making it a must-visit destination for any food enthusiast.
Excellent Chinese restaurant. Small but very well served.
很好吃!So delicious! Was in NYC for one night, and I stumbled across this place nearby. Super friendly staff and calm atmosphere. I got to practice my Chinese, and the staff was very kind to teach me some new words. As for the meal, I got the Xiao Long Bao and Cucumber Salad, plus rice and a drink. Adding the rice to the leftover oil from the salad was *chef’s kiss*. The xiao long bao was super fresh and delicate. All of this plus a drink was $21. Great value!
Every dish we ordered tasted authentic and savory! Rocket speed to bring dishes on the table with minimal waiting time. Not a place for group dinning more than 5-6. I would like to go back when visiting New York next time.
Best place for both Authentic Hunan and also American Chinese food in maybe the whole of Manhattan. It’s rare to get a restaurant that can do a superb job at both. Recommend the Duck egg yolk steamed Eggplant, and they have the best General Tso’s chicken hands down.
