About Hunan Palace

Hunan Palace, located at 6118 Lancaster Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19151, is a Chinese restaurant offering a variety of dishes. You can contact them at (215) 473-6998 or +1 215-473-6998.

Based on customer reviews, Hunan Palace offers very affordable prices, with one customer reporting a meal of General Tso chicken, pork fried rice, and iced tea for $10.50. The General Tso chicken is generally well-received, and customers have expressed satisfaction with its taste.

However, the pork fried rice has been described as "blah," and customers have suggested opting for white rice instead. The fried chicken has also received negative feedback, with complaints about being under seasoned and containing cooked blood.

Customers have also noted inconsistencies with the restaurant's operating hours. The restaurant does not open at 11 AM as advertised, and beginning in 2025, it will be closed on Sundays. Customers are advised to call after 11:30 AM to place orders and to be aware of the Sunday closure.

Despite the issues with the fried chicken and inaccurate hours, Hunan Palace remains a go-to spot for some customers due to its affordable prices and satisfactory General Tso chicken.

Got general Tso chicken, pork fried rice and an iced tea for $10.50. No idea how they are able to charge this little but the food wasn’t bad at all. The pork fried rice was a lil blah, next time I will just get white rice. I didn’t call to order and my food took a lil while but I was very happy with the general tso chicken. Will order again.

Our go to spot. Food is good, however I'm not a fan of their fried chicken - under seasoned & I strongly dislike a lot of cooked blood inside my fried chicken and all but 1 piece was like that. The hours are not accurate - they're not opened at 11 (unsure when exactly but I stopped calling around 11:30) & beginning 2025 they are closed on Sundays (sign on the glass window inside).

The Chicken Wings Were Some Of The Most Unseasoned Wings I’ve Ever Had. They Tasted Like Oil. The Rice Was Good. If It Weren’t For The Rice I Would’ve Fed It To The Alley Cats.

Is the best cheap Chinese takeout spots I have found in west Philly/Philly area! Great service, a sweet family owns this spot. Good low mein noodles and egg drop soup. It is located next door to a laundromat. You don’t want to eat in because it only really has one seat. Definitely order takeout. Usually there’s a short line after 5 PM.

Their general tso chicken tasted horrible. It tasted like someone forgot there food and they decided to refry it for sale. The skin was super hard, also the meat was dry. Please look at your food before purchase. Check over everything.
