Hunan Manor

I used to come here regularly when I lived in the immediate area about a decade ago. It’s definitely not the same restaurant as in its hay day, but it’s still very good and worth a visit if you are in the area. It’s comfort Chinese food with a few authentic dishes.

I’ve been coming to hunan my whole life. It was the place I recommened all the time. Well I haven’t been in a couple years and decided to order last night and the food was awful. The fried rice was the worst fried rice I’ve ever eaten and the sesame shrimp was so bland I couldn’t even eat it. There was zero flavor to the food, not even salt. I tried to season the food myself but ended up throwing away $35 worth of food and getting taco bell instead. This restaurant use to be amazing and the go to place but now I won’t be returning. There are much better chinese restaurants in the area.

We haven't been back here for a long time, and the food seems to have gotten better. However, the Peking duck was not what we expected. The skin was not really crispy, and meat a bit plain.

My wife has been coming here for more than ten years. The food is always great portions, delicious, and prompt. This visit we got hunan pork, seasame shrimp, and fried eggplant, and with shrimp toast. The fried eggplant is always a massive hit for us and nearly guaranteed to be purchase on any given visit.

Went today for 4th visit since Feb. Invited our granddaughters to join us. The food was disappointing. Hot and sour soup wasn't hot or sour and seems tasteless with less ingredients. Green beans were disappointing since we had excellent ones last Tuesday at lunch. None of the "spicy sauces" were spicy. The egg foo young we had Tuesday was much better plus it was served with more sauce. Totally embarrassed for inviting our guests to dinner since it was way below what we've been served in the past. Kitchen needs some adjustment or training.
