Our go-to for Chinese. Location is a nice little walk past the Capitol and Library of Congress, so convenient. We've been quite a few times, and the staff remembers people who frequent. Best: Service! Always exceptional. The white sauce is amazing -- one reason we visit when we can is because we can't seem to duplicate the stuff. It's purely magical. They can help here if you have allergies to things like seafood, nuts, and gluten, Try the shrimp and vegetables, or chicken and vegetables in the white sauce. Another thing, they are very consistent every visit. Below, street view.

I can really only rate the food, which was not good. Most of it was overly sweet, not fresh, and overcooked but that is not the worst of it. We ended up throwing half of it away after finding a large unidentified ingredient in the asparagus and crab soup. No one was going to taste it to find out what it was (picture included). The sauces were water thin. More thin than the soup. On top of that, it was expensive. Never again.

Food is authentic and delicious! Fish and mapo tofu are excellent! Very friendly and genuine service! Great atmosphere! There’s a reason why Nancy pelosi and chuck Schumer frequent this restaurant. Mr Singh lied about the place but we thanked his review because it got us curious and helped us decide to try this marvelous restaurant

I had dinner here last night - and it was just okay! I was so bummed that it didn’t meet my expectations. I ordered a wonton soup - which is typically in a delicious broth, but they clearly used a buillon cube because it was extremely salty and highlighter yellow. The wontons inside the soup were tasty, but again the salt from the fake broth overpowered and ruined it for me. Then I ordered the Pekking duck which I googled this restaurant for specifically - and again just OK /Sub par. The presentation was beautiful but I got a piece without too much edible meat for the price! Full of fatty pieces and clearly deep fried in a vegetable oil because it was all I could taste. Really disappointed, unfortunately I won’t be coming back. The server was nice but not too personable, and I was one of three tables seated. I can’t understand if this is the allotted of food /service all the time or if it was because I came an hour and a half before closing. Attached is a photo of the wonton soup coloring and presentation.

Had a great meal last night. The food and service was very good. I wish they would use some of their profits and remodel the bathrooms and fix the place up a bit. Using tape and push pins to keep the peeling wall paper up is a bit strange.
