The heart of Hunan D'Lite Restaurant lies in our menu, which showcases the authentic and diverse flavors of Hunan cuisine. Known for its spiciness, Hunan food also features a wide range of other flavor profiles, including sour, smoky, and savory notes. Our experienced chefs are dedicated to using traditional Hunan cooking techniques and high-quality ingredients to create dishes that truly represent the culinary heritage of the region. From fiery chili-laden creations to more subtly flavored dishes that highlight the freshness of the ingredients, our menu offers a comprehensive exploration of Hunan gastronomy.

A hallmark of Hunan cuisine is its liberal use of chili peppers. Dishes like Chairman Mao's Red Braised Pork (Mao Shi Hong Shao Rou), a famous Hunanese dish braised with soy sauce, sugar, and spices, sometimes includes a touch of chili for added depth. Smoked and cured meats are also a significant feature of Hunan cooking, adding a unique smoky flavor to many dishes. You might find dishes featuring Hunan-style smoked pork or preserved vegetables, all prepared with traditional methods.

Our menu at Hunan D'Lite will likely feature a variety of stir-fried dishes, a common cooking method in Hunan cuisine, allowing for the quick and flavorful preparation of fresh ingredients. Dishes featuring local vegetables, often prepared with garlic and chili, are also a staple. Rice plays a central role in Hunan cuisine, and you can expect a selection of rice dishes to accompany your meal.

Given the emphasis on bold flavors, Hunan D'Lite may offer dishes with varying levels of spiciness to cater to different preferences. Our staff will be able to guide you in selecting dishes that suit your tolerance for heat. We may also feature signature Hunan dishes that have become local favorites or represent the unique culinary identity of our restaurant.

To complement the robust flavors of Hunan cuisine, Hunan D'Lite Restaurant may offer a selection of beverages, including traditional Chinese teas that can help balance the spiciness of the food, as well as other refreshing options. Our staff can provide recommendations on beverage pairings to enhance your dining experience.

As a member of the local Singaporean dining scene, Hunan D'Lite Restaurant may occasionally offer special promotions, seasonal dishes that highlight the freshest ingredients, or set menus that provide a curated introduction to the flavors of Hunan. Ordered Veggie Spring Rolls and Ma Po Tofu (spicy). The Spring Rolls were just okay. The Tofu dish was completely tasteless. Tofu didn't taste fresh. The gravy was water, oil, soya sauce and Spring onions nothing else. Could not eat more than a couple of bites. Went home after work and recooked the dish with more sauces and ingredients to be able to finish it. Either the management has changed or the cook. Will not be returning.

I ordered Delivery for my moms 60th birthday first of all the woman that took my order told me the total of my order was 20 more then I was charged. The delivery driver then shows up and my sister is signing the receipt and he said to her “what, no tip” I went to the door and looked at the receipt and low and behold it was 20 dollars cheaper than what I was told. My father is from Newark to avoid a conflict I just signed the receipt and added that 120 because I it’s what I was told over the phone, and had already expected to pay. I will never order from them again the delivery was fast the food it was hot and bland it was ehhh iight AT Best but for me the change of price was bs and the employees are rude, disrespectful and dishonest. How completely inappropriate and entitled to ask for a tip. I give this place 1/2 a star. Ethnics and Etiquette matter.

This restaurant seems to have gone downhill in recent years. Their food used to be very tasty. I ordered some fried rice, and the pork tasted spoiled. They still have the placed layed out in a covid 'barren' style so it looks pretty cold and unwelcoming as well.

Definitely a Chinese restaurant that caters more for the typical American palette. Dishes aren’t super authentic although it does contain asian inspired flavors. Some dishes that I thought were good include Singapore Rice Noodle and Beef with spring onion. Those dishes were quite the standout. The sliced pork with sizzling rice was ok. Sauce was extremely heavy and unnecessarily salty. Overall taste was ok. Dishes that left quite a bit to be desired. The scallop with garlic sauce contained very little scallop. The szechuan style ma po bean curd needed a lot more spice to be considered szechuan.

Was in town while waiting for the Amtrak and craving Singapore noodles. This is the most generous portioning I’ve ever gotten, even considering the price, and the meal was prepared exceptionally!
