About Hui Wei
Welcome to Hui Wei, a Chinese Restaurant located at 706 56th St in Brooklyn, NY. This unassuming spot is described by locals as a "hidden gem" offering a taste of authentic Fuzhou cuisine. You can reach us at (718) 877-3877 or +1 718-877-3877 for inquiries.
The environment at Hui Wei is characterized as comfortable and low-key, rather than fancy, making it a relaxed place for a casual meal. Seating is noted to be tight, and there is a single, small restroom. The interior lighting is dim. Despite the modest setting, the service is consistently described as friendly.
A standout feature of Hui Wei is its selection of Guobian, a traditional Fuzhou soup. Customers appreciate the ability to customize their Guobian with various ingredients and the seasonal addition of either dried fish or dried shrimp to the soup. For those familiar with this regional cuisine, the Guobian is praised for being freshly made, not too oily, and reminiscent of authentic homemade flavors. The menu also includes other offerings such as meats on a stick (with the chicken on a stick being particularly recommended), small stir-fry dishes, peanut noodles, and flat meat wonton soup. Another available item is tea egg, though one reviewer found it to be just average.
While there is no specific promotional information mentioned, Hui Wei is lauded for its mouthwatering food and "beautiful" prices, suggesting affordability. It's important to note that Hui Wei operates as a cash-only establishment. If you are a local in Brooklyn seeking authentic Fuzhou flavors in a comfortable, unpretentious setting, Hui Wei comes highly recommended by those who have discovered this hidden culinary treasure.

good selection of guobian with ur choices of ingredients and seasonal selection of either dried fish, or dried shrimp, in the guobian soup. The soup is traditionally Fuzhou cuisine, for someone who grew up eating them, it is nostalgic and they make it fresh and not too oily. The menu also has meats on stick and other small stir frys. and ofc peanut noodles and flat meat wonton soup. Seating is tight, one closet bathroom and friendly service. Cash only and not a lot of light inside. They also have tea egg, it was just ok. I recommend the chicken on a stick.
Introduced by my friend who lives locally. It is such a hidden gem off the bustling avenue. The food was mouthwatering; the price was even more beautiful. This isn't a fancy restaurant but would definitely be a comfortable, low-key place to enjoy a good evening bite with my husband.
Food is good but they don't accept coins iean like what's that supposed to mean really tight in there
Remind me of childhood memory. A very nice cozy place:)
Like its name, the food can be reminiscent
