About Hu Nan Express

Hu Nan Express, situated at 145 S Sheridan Blvd #205 in Lakewood, Colorado, is a Chinese restaurant offering quick service for those looking for a convenient meal. The location is reported to be easy to find, and the staff is generally considered nice and provides quick service.

Customer reviews present a somewhat mixed picture of the food quality. Dishes like the salt and pepper shrimp and cashew beef have been highlighted as delicious. The fried Chinese balls with sweet condensed milk were also enjoyed. For those opting for combo deals, the option to have a half-and-half portion of rice and noodles is appreciated, and the broccoli beef and mushroom chicken have been described as good, with the egg roll also receiving positive feedback.

However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the flavor of the fried rice and lo mein, noting that both lacked flavor, with the lo mein tasting similar to spaghetti noodles. While the meat options were generally well-received, the overall experience with these staple dishes was not entirely positive for some.

A subsequent visit by one reviewer at a later time (around 7:45 pm) resulted in a perceived skimping on food portions by the server, which was described as disappointing. The reviewer contrasted this with another local establishment known for consistently providing fair portions even late at night.

Overall, Hu Nan Express appears to be a convenient option for a quick Chinese meal, with some standout dishes and good service. However, potential customers should be aware of the mixed feedback regarding the flavor of certain items and the possibility of inconsistent portion sizes, particularly during later hours. Some highs and lows here. Service was great and quick. Location was easy to find. Salt and pepper shrimp was delicious, as was the cashew beef. Also enjoyed the fried Chinese balls with sweet condensed milk. The fried rice and the lo mein were disappointing. Really lacked flavor on both. Lo mein tasted like spaghetti noodles. Meat options were great.

Edit: We came back again at another time at about 7:45 pm and the server seemed to have skimped out on our food. Kinda disappointing. It's nice when they give you a fair portion but when all you get is one small scoop, it doesn't seem like it's worth it. Ho Mei on Colorado stays open late and will load up the same portion every time. Original: We got the combo deal and I love the half half of rice and noodles. The broccoli beef and mushroom chicken was good. The egg roll was delicious as well. Quick service and nice staff. I highly recommend this restaurant for a quick, affordable bite.

Service was friendly, place looked clean. Orange chicken was heavy on the breading, lightly sauced - would skip this. Lo mein had carrot, onion, cabbage - tasted okay. Cabbage egg roll was okay. Beef broccoli - beef was tender, broccoli crunchy, lightly sauced. 1 long bench and table, set up for takeout it seemed.

Nastiest Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life and I grew up on 1.35 scoop this location specifically sucks. Their wontons are hard as a rock sesame chicken is bigger than my hand and Sour asf their noodles were dry as and chicken Fried rice tasted only like soy sauce along with the white rice hard as a rock as well, you should go to any other place then this location beyond the worst location I’ve tried and I’ve tried them all pretty much. DO NOT GO!! Thank gos was only $12.00

Polite and friendly staff. Ordered tofu & vegetables with white rice. Tofu was fried fresh, vegetables were fresh, and sauce was perfect. Excellent value and vegan friendly options. Only 1 table so I would recommend take out only.
