About How How Kitchen

Exploring Chinese takeout options in US? While How How Kitchen is currently located in Setauket- East Setauket, New York, USA, it's important for our local users to be aware of recent customer feedback regarding this establishment. As a Chinese takeout restaurant, they offer a range of standard dishes, but reviews highlight some areas of concern.

One customer who tried their lunch special noted that it was surprising and disappointing that the specials did not include soup or an egg roll, only fried rice. This differs from their past experiences with other Chinese takeout establishments. They also mentioned that the chicken with string beans was tender, but the sauce was bland, and the fried rice was too light for their preference. While the service was described as quick and friendly, the overall impression of the food was basic.

Another customer reported a significant issue with their order, stating that the chicken wings they received were raw, and there was no pork in their pork fried rice. This indicates a potential problem with food preparation and order accuracy, leading to disappointment.

One positive aspect mentioned was that the restaurant "appeared clean" to a first-time visitor who stopped by for a quick lunch special.

Based on this limited feedback, potential customers in US should be aware of potential inconsistencies in the content of lunch specials, the blandness of some dishes, issues with fried rice texture, and, more seriously, the risk of undercooked food and incorrect orders. While the service was noted as quick and friendly in one instance, the significant food quality issue reported by another customer is a major concern.

Currently, there is no information about How How Kitchen having any locations or offering delivery services in US. Given the reported issues with food quality and the unusual nature of their lunch specials, local users should consider these points if this establishment were to expand to US. There is no promotional information available, and addressing the reported food safety and quality concerns would be crucial before considering this option.

I was in the shopping center, so I stopped in for a quick lunch special having never been here. Appeared clean. Shocked and disappointed to see the lunch specials do not come with a soup or egg roll, just fried rice. I've never experienced that in any Chinese Take Out before. She tried to get me to upgrade to the combination, which includes an egg roll. I ordered the chicken with string beans. Chicken was tender, sauce was on the bland side. Fried rice was way too light for my liking. Basic Chinese food, typical lunch special size and price $7.40. Service was quick and friendly.

Ahh Chinese food. This used to be the last bastion of cheap food when money was tight. No more! Prices have sky rocketed nearly 50%. Now a tiny pint of pork fried rice is $7...for a handful of recycled rice. Such a shame.

Above Average. Ordered my staples Lo Mein and General Tso's Chicken. Decent size portions, good flavor, nothing spectacular though. Good standby restaurant, but I'll stick with Number One in Centereach as my first call.
