House of Tang offers a variety of classic Chinese dishes, catering to a range of tastes. One customer specifically praised the Sweet and Sour Chicken with plain white rice, noting that the chicken was cooked fresh with a tasty, crunchy breading and juicy inside, complemented by a sweet and yummy sauce. The white rice was also described as perfectly cooked and fluffy. This positive feedback suggests that House of Tang takes pride in preparing its dishes with fresh ingredients and attention to detail.

The environment inside House of Tang is described as "nice and clean with an interesting design for the decor." This indicates that while the exterior signage might be understated (with only an "OPEN" sign visible from the parking lot), the interior offers a pleasant and clean atmosphere for diners. The restaurant is equipped with five large tables, each seating four people, providing ample space for dine-in customers. Additionally, a long, comfortable bench wall is available for those waiting for takeout orders, suggesting that takeout service is also a significant part of their operations.

House of Tang offers both dine-in and takeout services to cater to the diverse needs of its clientele. Its proximity to Parris Island makes it a convenient dining option for those visiting for graduations or other events. The presence of a waiting area bench further supports the availability of takeout for those who prefer to enjoy their meals elsewhere. The friendly and hardworking nature of the employees is also highlighted in a review, indicating a commitment to good customer service, even during busy periods.

A significant feature of House of Tang is its affordability. One customer expressed great appreciation that the management has kept prices at an accessible level, particularly during times of high inflation. The reviewer noted that prices around "$10 per person or less is definitely the sweet spot" and believed that this pricing would be especially appreciated by Marines, military families, and veterans in the area. This focus on providing value makes House of Tang an attractive option for budget-conscious diners.

However, it is important to note that one customer reported a very negative experience with a delivery order of boneless ribs and rice. This review claimed that the ribs were consistently hard, old, and inedible, even after requesting fresh food. The customer also mentioned the dark brownish color of the meat as a sign of staleness and expressed dissatisfaction with the restaurant's explanation of the texture being due to being "crispy" during busy times. This feedback raises concerns about the consistency and quality of certain dishes, particularly those prepared for delivery.

The contrasting reviews highlight the importance of considering all available feedback. While many customers seem to have positive experiences with the food and service at House of Tang, the negative review regarding the boneless ribs should be taken into account, especially for those considering ordering this specific dish for delivery.

Promotional information for House of Tang is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. However, their consistent focus on affordable pricing can be considered a form of ongoing value for their customers. Local residents and visitors are encouraged to contact the restaurant directly at (843) 524-2898 or +1 843-524-2898 to inquire about any current specials or promotions that may be available.

In summary, House of Tang is a Chinese restaurant located near Parris Island in Beaufort, SC, known for its clean interior, friendly service, and particularly its affordable pricing, which is appreciated by the local community and military families. While one customer reported a significant issue with the quality of a specific delivery order, other feedback praises the deliciousness and freshness of dishes like the Sweet and Sour Chicken. House of Tang offers both dine-in and takeout options, making it a convenient choice for various dining preferences. Potential customers, especially those considering delivery of certain items like boneless ribs, may want to consider the mixed feedback when making their decisions. Very nice Chinese restaurant near Parris Island. Great choice if you are here for your child, family member or friend's graduation from the Marines! I am also very pleased that the management has kept the prices at an affordable level which really helps out those who are suffering during these high inflation times. $10 per person or less is definitely the sweet spot and I really appreciate it. I'm sure all the Marines, Military families and veterans also appreciate the affordable pricing. Outside near the parking lot there is no logo or signage other than an OPEN sign, but do not let that discourage you from trying the food here. Inside is nice and clean with an interesting design for the decor. They were busy when I came around 7pm on Wednesday. Just be patient because the food is very delicious and worth the wait. I got the sweet and sour chicken with plain white rice. The chicken was cooked fresh to perfection with tasty crunchy breading on the outside with warm, juicy and yummy chicken on the inside. The sweet sauce was also very sweet and yummy which is exactly how I like it! The white rice was cooked perfectly, nice and fluffy. I paired my meal with a bottle of Lipton Raspberry White Tea (my first time trying this drink) and it is also very delicious! Employees are friendly, work hard and work as fast as they can. Five big tables to sit at with four chairs at each table and a long comfy bench wall for people to sit while waiting for takeout orders

Be aware!!! They will sell you old food!! My friend ordered me food from here and had it delivered to my job and both times I got the same thing and both times the meat was so hard you couldn’t chew it.LITERALLY!!! If you’re ordering the boneless ribs and rice combo just know the ribs are hard as rocks they will not give you fresh food even after requesting it. It was also like a dark brownish color which was another sign the meat was old and stale. Doordash will not refund mishaps like this and the restaurant excuse is “ it’s suppose to be crispy because we are really busy”. Uh no mam it’s suppose to be fresh, edible, and chewable. I scratched the back of my throat swallowing a small piece of “boneless ribs”. Maybe it should be called Ribless Bones because why are you all serving this to us working class people of Beaufort!!!

AWESOME authentic Chinese takeout. I am from an area with a lot of culinary diversity and totally appreciate these guys. Their food is absolutely awesome! Better than chain food I would definitely recommend them. They have a lot of options on their menu and the thing that sets them apart is that the sauce is are delicious.
