House and Barn

We chose our event to be at House & Barn and had the most amazing experience. The staff were very accommodating. They had everything we needed and were very polite to my guests & I. The facility itself needed no decorations because it was already beautiful! We rented out the main level within the barn & had the loft and downstairs to ourselves which our guests loved. The staff kept the area warm and inviting. We were offered coffee & water at a self serve station which made my day. I had asked the polite woman behind the bar if she had any drinks for children and she gave us an orange juice in a kids cup. It was the little things that made the entire experience lovely. The food we chose for our menu was the pretzel bites, meatballs, and a sand which variety that our guests raved about. The meatballs were out of this world! I hope I can come to another event here soon! Thank you so much House & Barn for a memorable experience.

Went for dinner with a group of friends ( 6 of us). The waitstaff was great (fun, energetic, friendly). The food was fresh and delicious. 3 ordered burgers and raved about them. We all enjoyed our meals. The drink menu was a hit ( wine, cocktails, and movktails). They were accommodating and didn't have a problem with giving us separate checks. Overall, it was fantastic.

I was so excited to finally visit House and Barn. They have been advertising that they've been voted top 100 burgers in the country. We both ordered beef burgers, a Caesar salad, an appetizer, and 1 drink. Our bill with to was $95, including a 4% credit card fee. The Caesar salad was average. It came out the same time as the burger. I ordered what looked like a cool app. Corn ribs. The menu said 8 corn ribs, deep fried and seasoned. While they tasted ok, we only got 5. The burgers. One of us ordered medium rare, and i ordered medium. The burgers came out very quickly. So quickly that we commented on how could they get them done that fast. I surmised they might be precooked. While they tested good, both were very overcooked, well done, gray in the middle(see pics). It was a very disappointing, expensive dinner. I really wanted to love this place, but I don't think I'll be going back again. One of the staff overheard our conversation about the overcooked burgers and visa card fee. She argued with me about the visa fee and said her son, the cook, would never send out overcooked burgers. I showed her the pictures I took, and she agreed they were overcooked, with no apology, just defensiveness. Poor customer service.

We chose House and Barn for my daughter’s Sweet 16 party because the first impression was spot on from the aesthetic of the property, to all of the kind and friendly staff and of course our main person, Holly. I had so many questions and concerns from the time we booked until the party that I thought I would get an award for most annoying customer but she always responded quickly and reassuringly. On the day of her party-February-winter of course there was bad weather and Holly reached out to try to accommodate making adjustments to have the best outcome even though we decided to keep the same timing and it all worked out. Staff were out salting and clearing the walkways diligently so it would be safe for everyone. The food was scrumptious and plentiful, the room looked amazing and everything fit in perfectly. The bathrooms were clean and everyone had only compliments on everything. I feel like everyone went above and beyond to make sure Lydia’s party was everything she dreamed it would be. I highly recommend House and Barn for your next event and even for a nice dinner at the House.

Finding an affordable venue for a small wedding was definitely a challenge for us in the planning process which is why I was so happy we were able to host our intimate wedding and reception/dinner party at House & Barn! Holly and her amazing team went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect for us. Anything we needed in the planning process, she was just an e-mail or phone call away! Holly was also very flexible with everything and gave us the freedom to make the event space our own and we really got to see our vision for our big day come to life. Throughout the whole planning process to the day of, she was so sweet and accommodating. The ceremony space outside with the backdrop of the willow trees was so pretty and the barn inside was absolutely gorgeous, rustic and fit our theme perfectly. In addition to the service being top tier, the food was so delicious and they have an expansive catering menu with so many options to choose from. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how great the food was! House and Barn literally made our best day, the best day!
