About Hou Wei
Hou Wei is a Chinese restaurant situated at 3645 Cypress Creek Pkwy Suite 218 in Houston, Texas. As a local Chinese eatery, it aims to provide a range of Chinese cuisine options for the community.
Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at Hou Wei appear to be varied. Some patrons have expressed strong appreciation for the quality of the food and the service provided by the delivery drivers, highlighting them as positive aspects of their experience. These customers have indicated being repeat customers who "LOVE the food."
However, other reviews point out areas that may need attention. One customer detailed a negative interaction with a specific employee named Joey, citing difficulties in communication, menu knowledge, and order accuracy. This experience led them to decide not to patronize the restaurant again. Another recent review described a disappointing dine-in experience characterized by a lack of acknowledgment upon arrival and unattended service, ultimately leading the customers to leave.
For those considering Hou Wei, it may be beneficial to be aware of this mixed feedback. While some customers have enjoyed the food and delivery service, there seem to be inconsistencies in the dine-in customer service experience. Potential patrons might want to consider these recent observations when making their decision.

Customer Reviews
NEVER AGAIN. We will never visit nor order from Hou Wei again due to an employee named Joey. We LOVE the food and the wonderful delivery drivers at Hou Wei, but Joey lost us as longtime repeat customers today. Normally someone else answers the phone who is polite and helpful, but occasionally it is Joey. And we dread when it is Joey. She is short-tempered, extremely difficult to understand, and she does not seem to know the menu. We've been patient in the past when she's answered and we've had to repeat the order multiple times (yet still received the wrong food), but today was the last straw. I hope this otherwise excellent restaurant either invests in some customer service training for Joey or reassigns her to a position more suited to her presumed strengths.
Never again. We used to come here to eat. Yesterday the place was dead, just one other table. We sat for 3 minutes lonely so we left. Waitress never acknowledged us when we came in. Face on screen for a long time and then went back to the kitchen. The worst service experience ever for a sit down restaurant. Not even a freaking menu for us to look at?
I’ve visited this place numerous times for takeout & one time for dine-in. Waitresses are very efficient & friendly. The food is always good & fresh with lots of flavor! I’ve always gotten the Beef Broccoli which is my favorite, this time I tried the Pepper Steak (I don’t like bell peppers but it was still good). We also had the egg rolls which are HUGE & also delicious! I’ve also had the Mongolian Chicken which is excellent as well. I would definitely go back to this place & try more menu items!
The food was great. The orange chicken is a must try if you like orange chicken. The chicken was not dry and the orange sauce was very flavorful. The Singapore noodles was awesome to spicy but good. The place felt relaxing and the service was awesome. I will be be going back aging to try more.
Great place to go eat when your wanting an intimate atmosphere. I took my grandma here and we loved the food . We ordered the shrimp Lo Mein and we ordered orange chicken with shrimp fried rice and 2 wonton soups . Clearly we had too much food, but it was even better for seconds later in the evening. We loved the service especially bc they were bilingual . My only complaint is how big the menus are and how small the tables are .
