About Hot Wok

Welcome to Hot Wok, your local Chinese restaurant located at 424 N 2nd St, Niles, MI 49120, USA. You can contact them at (269) 687-5288 or +1 269-687-5288. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Hot Wok primarily serves takeout, as indicated by customer reviews.

One recent customer who had not ordered from Hot Wok in two years reported a positive experience, noting that their order was ready in 15 minutes, the food was hot and freshly made, and it was worth the wait. They enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken combo, while their husband had the Happy Family dish.

However, another customer had a mixed experience with a recent order. They encountered several errors, including receiving black pepper tofu instead of broccoli and tofu, pork fried rice instead of steamed rice with their orange chicken, and an unusual cut of wings. While the restaurant did correct the order upon their return, this customer suggested that the person taking phone orders may need additional training or to listen more carefully. They found the orange chicken and the corrected tofu and broccoli dish to be good, but the black pepper tofu was just okay, and the fried chicken was flavorless. They also noted the absence of soup that usually comes with the lunch menu and decided not to pursue it further. This customer indicated they would try Hot Wok again but would prefer to order in person rather than over the phone.

Based on these reviews, Hot Wok appears to offer freshly made food with the convenience of quick takeout service. However, there may be potential issues with order accuracy over the phone, and the interior of the establishment is described as "very run down" and not suitable for a sit-down meal.

We have not eaten here in 2 years. And it was great. We went in and ordered it was ready in 15 minutes, and it was worth it. The food was hot and freshly made. I got the sweet and sour chicken combo, and my husband got the Happy Family. The inside of this place is very run down and not for a sit-down meal.

Haven’t ordered from here in awhile. Ordered broccoli and tofu, 2 orange chicken lunch orders and wings. Received black pepper tofu with mixed vegetables, pork fried rice instead of steamed rice with the orange chicken and the wings were the small flats and drums or something weird. We had to go back and they did correct the order but, the person that takes the order over the phone needs to be trained again or actually listen to what is being ordered. Orange chicken was good, tofu and broccoli in brown sauce was good, the black pepper tofu was ok. Fried chicken was flavorless. We did not receive the soup that comes with the lunch menu but at that point we just decided to not even bother. Not a good experience overall but will try again. Will not call order in though.

I ordered the Orange Chicken combo and Crab Rangoon for takeout, with a total of around $17. The restaurant was neat and clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The Orange Chicken, made with real orange zest, was flavorful, juicy, and savory. The fried rice that came with it had just the right amount of smokiness, and everything was cooked to perfection. Nothing tasted like old grease; everything was fresh. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Thanks!

Went in to order take out. The person taking orders was on the phone, so I waited a bit. Friendly and polite. Ordered pork Mei fun, sweet sour pork, and fried dumplings. All was cooked to order and was good, hot, and flavorful.

Honestly a hole in the wall hidden gem. You wouldn't guess the food would be that great from the looks of the restaurant itself. But the people there are super friendly, down to earth and the food? Perfection. Don't let the interior fool you. IYKYK 😉
