About Hop Hing
Welcome to Hop Hing Chinese Restaurant, a long-standing favorite Chinese Restaurant serving the North Royalton, Ohio community. Located at 5630 Wallings Rd, Hop Hing has built a reputation for consistently providing delicious Chinese takeout for many years.
Our commitment to quality is evident in the fresh vegetables, fluffy rice (never soggy), and distinct, great flavors that characterize our dishes. Customers have noted that the quality has only improved over time, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Even for those who have moved further away, Hop Hing remains a preferred choice, often worth the drive. A standout dish mentioned by loyal customers is the Chicken with Broccoli, featuring a super delicious brown sauce. While there might be more carrots in the dish recently, it continues to be highly enjoyed. Beyond the main courses, our appetizers, especially the Crab Rangoon and Fried Dumplings, are considered by many to be the best in the area.

Always fresh veggies, fluffy-not-soggy rice, and great distinct flavors. I’ve been getting take out from here for years and they’ve only gotten better since COVID.
Hop Hing has been my favorite Chinese takeout for many years, even after moving a bit further away from it. It's always been worth the drive. The brown sauce on the Chicken with Broccoli is super delicious. There's more carrots in it these days but it's still so good I don't even mind. Other dishes there are great as well, and in the appetizers the Crab Rangoon and Fried Dumplings are the best in the area.
HORRIBLE CHRISTMAS DAY EXPERIENCE!! The worst customer service and worst takeout I have ever experienced. I would give this place negative stars if I could. I used to drive past my local takeout Chinese place to come here, well no more! My family and I decided not cook for Christmas Day this year and I recommended Hop Hing for dinner because it used to be great- and although I have not ordered recently, I assumed it was still good. How EMBARRASSING to recommend a place that absolutely ruined our Christmas dinner. My family and I all ordered the “Chef’s Special General Tso’s Tofu”. This tofu was shriveled up almost beyond recognition, rubbery and coated in a watered-down, super sweet sauce that had zero spice or flavor- despite ordering it medium spicy. The “fried rice” that came with it looked like it had been dyed with yellow food coloring and literally had only onions in it and had no flavor whatsoever… I have never had fried rice SO strange. My daughter ordered chicken fried rice and the same thing with hers- dyed yellow with unseasoned pieces of chicken and no veggies other than a bunch of onions. An 8 year old even refused to eat it. The main dishes had about 4-5 pieces of broccoli in them and the rest was just this rubbery, used-condom textured tofu. Everything was inedible and not worth the calories. When we called to complain and get our money back, my family had to talk to multiple people for well over 30 minutes- only to be told we had to bring our food BACK if we wanted a refund. Bring our food back, a 15 minute drive that I had just made to pick up this horrendous meal, on CHRISTMAS DAY?? The management kept insisting they needed to know “what happened with the food” and no refund unless we brought it back. So not only did they serve us what I can only assume is the WORST Chinese takeout ever and ruin our Christmas dinner, but now we have to take the food back just to get our money back?? Insane! Any restaurant worth anything would’ve apologized and refunded our money no questions asked, especially on a holiday. I have worked in the restaurant industry in the past and never EVER did we ever tell anyone to return the food to get a refund. Since we spent almost $70 on this “food”, we packed it all back up in a garbage bag where it belonged and drove it back to the restaurant on Christmas Day at 7pm so we could get our money back. My mother treated us to the dinner, so she went in to get her money back and they insisted on “seeing the person who left the tip” (I stupidly left a tip assuming the food would be good when I picked it up) and I had to go in so they could see my face in order to refund our $5 tip! They eventually refunded our money (with ZERO APOLOGY), but only after a 30+minute phone call, arguing with multiple people, a totally ruined Christmas Day dinner and an hour of drive time in total, between picking up the food and having to go back to return it like you would a shirt that didn’t fit. I have never experienced such ABHORRENT customer service or Chinese takeout in my life!! This place should be absolutely ashamed.
We ordered two General Tso chicken and it was not chicken it was all fluffy white filling. The white rice was mushy and the fried rice was white rice with yellow food coloring. This place use to be good and has gone downhill and is basically cheating people out of their money with what they are trying to pass off as chicken. If I could give the food a NO star review I would
Long post but wanted to fully share my experience… I ordered a large take out order on Christmas Eve along with a whole lot of other folks. The order was done online and when I arrived, it was literally standing room only. I knew it was going to take a while and it did but I eventually got my order and brought it home. Amidst the chaos of that night, my order was shorted but I had no desire to go back and deal with it that night. A few days later I stopped by and explained the issue and they not only were willing to reimburse me but also made the missing orders at no charge. The woman I spoke with was very apologetic and thankful that I didn’t make a big deal of it on Christmas Eve. Long story short the food is very good and the customer service excellent.
