About Hong's Chop Suey Take-Home

For local users in US seeking information about Chinese restaurants, let's consider Hong's Chop Suey Take-Home, located at 1519 Western Ave #3148, Chicago Heights, IL 60411, USA, based on recent online reviews. While this restaurant is situated in the United States, examining customer experiences can offer insights into what to look for (or avoid) in your local Chinese takeout options.

Based on the limited recent reviews available, the customer experiences at Hong's Chop Suey Take-Home appear to be negative. One review described an order of shrimp fried rice as "sooooooo Nasty," mentioning a taste possibly resembling cleaning products and causing a headache. This customer expressed a desire for a refund but was deterred by the cold weather.

Another customer, who tried the restaurant based on its overall 4.2-star rating (which might include older, more positive reviews), reported disappointment with the Mongolian beef. They described it as having a "slight fishy burnt taste" and not being seasoned appropriately. This reviewer also noted that the large dinner portion, priced at $14, consisted mainly of gravy and onions with very little meat. The steamed rice was the only aspect they found satisfactory. Consequently, this customer indicated they would not be returning in the near future, citing the availability of "definitely better options out there."

Given these recent reviews, there is no information available regarding the restaurant's environment, specific services beyond takeout, features, or any promotional information. The feedback primarily focuses on negative aspects of the food quality, including taste and the proportion of ingredients in at least one dish. Therefore, based solely on this recent feedback, it is challenging to provide a positive or detailed introduction for local users in US. It is recommended to seek out Chinese restaurants in your area with more consistently positive and detailed recent reviews to ensure a satisfactory dining experience.

I ordered a large shrimp fried rice, extra shrimp, extra onions and spicy and a small regular shrimp fried rice and it was sooooooo Nasty.. It taste like they add some cleaning products to it.. I instantly got a headache.. it ifs wasn’t so cold I’ll go back so I can get my money

I saw the overall 4.2 star rating so I gave it a try. Ordered Mongolian beef and was very disappointed. Mongolian beef had a slight fishy burnt taste, not seasoned like Mongolian beef should be. The large dinner which was $14 was mainly gravy and onions, very little meat. I think the best part of it was the steamed rice. Unfortunately I won’t be back for a while, definitely better options out there.

Hong's used to have the BEST chinese food but Idk what's happened lately because it's disgusting now & the prices are high. My food was very bland tonight & the shrimp fried rice tasted funny & I instantly started feeling sick. I definitely will not be back... New Wok in Markham is way better!!

This place definitely sucks. The food is NASTY. Ordered simply shrimp fried rice.. it was dark and the rice was crunchy. They change cooks often. Tonight was definitely a miss. Under seasoned crunchy fried rice. Yuck 😝. I will not be returning to this place anymore. The lobby is very cold because they refuse to turn on the heat to make the customers comfortable while waiting on their 🐕 food. We need to STOP supporting this business because they ARE NOT serving us QUALITY FOOD. Go @ your own risk because you've been warn.

I've been here twice now and this place is amazing! I got the Mongolian beef extra spicy today and the beef chop suey last week. The woman at the register is always so nice, the food comes nice and hot and quick. Give this place a try.
