Welcome to Hong Kong, a Chinese takeout restaurant located at 3228 S Caraway Rd ste c in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Serving the local community, Hong Kong offers a standard Chinese takeout menu with a focus on affordability, particularly noted in their lunch specials. Based on the limited customer reviews available, the environment of Hong Kong is described as a "small Chinese takeout restaurant." This suggests a no-frills establishment primarily geared towards providing food for customers to enjoy off-premises. While specific details about the interior ambiance or dining area are not provided, the focus appears to be on efficient service for takeout orders. One customer who ordered for delivery due to bad weather did not comment on the in-person service or atmosphere, further indicating that takeout is a significant aspect of their operation.
The services offered by Hong Kong primarily seem to revolve around takeout. One review explicitly mentions ordering food for delivery, indicating that this service is likely available. However, the same review also noted a less-than-ideal experience with the delivery process itself, where the customer had to retrieve their own food upon arrival. This suggests that while delivery might be an option, the execution could be improved. The other review focused on a takeout order that included lunch specials, implying that quick and affordable takeout is a key service offered by Hong Kong.
A notable feature of Hong Kong, as highlighted by a customer, is the affordability of their lunch specials. Priced at $7.10 at the time of the review, these specials are described as providing a "good amount of food" for the price. This makes Hong Kong an attractive option for those looking for a budget-conscious meal during lunchtime. The reviewer specifically mentioned trying the kung pow chicken and sesame chicken as part of the lunch specials, both of which were deemed "good." They praised the flavor and texture of these chicken dishes in comparison to other Chinese takeout restaurants, suggesting that Hong Kong excels in preparing these particular entrees.
However, the same review offered mixed feedback on other aspects of the meal. The fried rice was described as "lacking," with the reviewer noting it was the yellow "fried" rice that tasted more like plain white rice. This indicates a potential area where Hong Kong's preparation might not meet all customers' expectations. Similarly, the egg rolls were considered "mediocre," characterized as being "a little doughy with too little filling." This suggests that while some core dishes like the chicken entrees are well-received, the side items might be inconsistent in quality.
Adding a concerning dimension to the feedback is a negative review detailing a significant issue with a delivery order. This customer reported finding hair in their rice after spending $53. Additionally, they expressed dissatisfaction with the proportion of vegetables to rice in their vegetable fried rice, feeling that vegetables occupied an excessive amount of space in a small container. The reviewer also noted the inconvenience of having to retrieve their own food upon delivery. This negative experience highlights potential inconsistencies in food preparation and service quality that prospective customers should be aware of.
Despite the mixed reviews, one customer summarized their overall experience as "fine," acknowledging the pleasantness of the people and the particularly affordable prices of the lunch specials. This suggests that while there might be inconsistencies in food quality across the menu and potential issues with service execution, Hong Kong offers budget-friendly options and some well-prepared dishes. The positive remarks about the chicken dishes and the affordability of the lunch specials could be significant draws for customers prioritizing these aspects.
For local users in Jonesboro, AR, Hong Kong presents itself as a small, primarily takeout-focused Chinese restaurant with a typical menu. A key feature is the affordability of their lunch specials, which include well-received chicken dishes like kung pow and sesame chicken. However, potential drawbacks include the quality of the fried rice and egg rolls, which have been described as mediocre, and the possibility of inconsistencies in food preparation and delivery service, as indicated by the negative review. If budget-friendliness and specific chicken dishes are your priority, Hong Kong might be worth considering, especially for lunch. However, it would be prudent to be aware of the mixed feedback regarding other menu items and service aspects when making your decision. Contact them at (870) 931-5566 or +1 870-931-5566 to inquire about their current menu and services.

Customer Reviews
Ordered food from this place due to the bad weather, 53 dollars for my food, and there was hair in my rice, along with vegetables being half of my rice (I understand I ordered vegetable fried rice, but in a small container, it shouldn’t take up half the space), and the woman didn’t even hand us our food, we had to get it. Disappointed to say the least.
Small Chinese takeout restaurant with your typical menu. The lunch specials are very affordable ($7.10 at the time of review) and you get a good amount of food with it. I tried the kung pow chicken and sesame chicken with fried rice and we added some egg rolls on the side. The chicken dishes were good, we enjoyed them. They both had good flavor and texture compared to other Chinese takeout restaurants. However the fried rice was lacking. It's the yellow "fried" rice that I feel tastes like white rice. The egg rolls were also mediocre, a little doughy with too little filling. All in all, it's fine. The people were nice and the prices, especially for the lunch specials, were very affordable.
Good Chinese restaurant that is suited for take-out or delivery but they do have some small spaces to eat inside the vicinity. They have a long list of Chinese-American dishes including fried rice, egg rolls, and various other dishes. My daughter always gets sauteed broccoli and fried rice and loves it. Not a bad spot for take-out Chinese food.
The service is great. Very friendly. Food is excellent. Our new favorite Chinese restaurant!
Food is always delicious and is inexpensive enough to enjoy a good meal without breaking the budget.
