About Hong Kong Restaurant

Welcome to Hong Kong Restaurant, your local Chinese restaurant situated at 281 Market Place Blvd in Cartersville, Georgia. As a Chinese restaurant serving the Cartersville community, Hong Kong Restaurant offers a dining experience that appears to include a buffet option, alongside potential menu service. Based on customer feedback, it presents itself as a relatively small and simple establishment with a focus on providing a range of dishes, with particular attention drawn to its crawfish offering.

According to customer reviews, the food at Hong Kong Restaurant is generally considered to be "pretty good," although one reviewer noted it as "nothing special, just average." This suggests that while the food may not be exceptionally outstanding, it is likely to be of a satisfactory quality for many diners. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also mentioned positively, indicating that Hong Kong Restaurant maintains a clean environment for its patrons. However, it's worth noting that one reviewer found the variety of dishes to be limited, and the overall size of the restaurant to be quite small.

One of the standout features of Hong Kong Restaurant, according to a customer, is its crawfish, which was described as the "BEST crawfish" compared to many other buffets the reviewer had visited. This suggests that for those who enjoy crawfish, Hong Kong Restaurant might be a particularly appealing option. Additionally, the service regarding restocking buffet items was noted as generally "really good," indicating that the staff is responsive to customer requests for replenishing dishes.

Another aspect mentioned in the reviews is the occasional changes to the buffet options, suggesting that Hong Kong Restaurant introduces some variety from time to time. The availability of hot tea was also highlighted as a feature. The price of the buffet was mentioned to be around $15.50 per person, providing a general idea of the cost for those considering the buffet option. The restaurant was described as "a small and simple place," which aligns with the earlier comment about its size.

Considering the feedback, Hong Kong Restaurant offers a somewhat mixed experience. While the food is generally acceptable and the restaurant is clean, it may not boast a wide variety of options and is a relatively small establishment. However, it appears to have a notable strength in its crawfish offering, which could be a significant draw for enthusiasts. The service regarding restocking seems to be efficient, and the occasional changes to the buffet might offer some novelty for repeat customers. The price point of around $15.50 for the buffet positions it as a potentially affordable option in the area.

For local users in Cartersville, GA, Hong Kong Restaurant presents itself as a straightforward Chinese dining option. If you are particularly fond of crawfish and appreciate a restaurant that is generally clean with responsive restocking service, this might be a place worth considering. However, if you prioritize a vast selection of dishes and a spacious dining environment, the small size and limited variety might be a drawback. The price of the buffet is reasonable, which could be an attractive factor for those seeking an affordable meal.

Located at 281 Market Place Blvd, Cartersville, GA 30121, Hong Kong Restaurant is situated in a potentially convenient location for local residents and visitors. If you are looking for a no-frills Chinese buffet experience, with a notable emphasis on crawfish, Hong Kong Restaurant could be an option. The positive mention of cleanliness is also a reassuring factor for many diners.

It is important for potential customers to weigh the pros and cons based on their individual preferences. If a wide array of sophisticated dishes is what you seek, Hong Kong Restaurant might not fully meet those expectations. However, if you are looking for a clean, simple place with "pretty good" food, and especially if you enjoy crawfish, it could be a suitable choice. The price point also suggests a degree of value for money.

The fact that the restaurant changes its buffet options occasionally indicates a willingness to introduce some level of variety, even if the overall selection is perceived as somewhat limited. The availability of hot tea is a common and appreciated offering in many Chinese restaurants, adding to the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, Hong Kong Restaurant in Cartersville, GA, offers a clean and simple dining environment with generally "pretty good" food. It stands out for its crawfish, which has been highly praised by at least one customer. The service regarding restocking buffet items is noted as good, and the buffet price is around $15.50 per person. However, the restaurant is small and the variety of dishes may be limited. Local users who appreciate a focus on crawfish and a clean, straightforward buffet experience might find Hong Kong Restaurant to be a satisfactory option. For those seeking a more extensive menu or a larger, more elaborate setting, it might be less appealing. Pretty good food. Clean. Nothing special, just average. Although there isn't a ton of variety and it's a pretty small place. A little pricey.

Ive been to a lot of buffets and this place by far has the BEST crawfish. If you ask for something to be restocked, they’re usually really good about restocking it. They change things up every now and then with a few different buffet options, and they also offer hot tea. Its around $15.50 a person. A small and simple place.

I would have given this place a higher review. The food was good, but we had a frustrating experience with the tipping process. We left a tip on our debit card at the front, but the woman who was cleaning tables approached us and started asking for money. We didn’t understand her at first, and then she pulled cash out of her pocket to ask us for a tip. First, let me mention that my husband works two full-time jobs and a part-time job doing people's taxes. Going out to eat is a privilege for us, and a tip should never be explicitly requested. Despite that, we always tip!! Eventually, we understood her to say that they don't receive tips when they are left on a card. If that's true, then the establishment should be ashamed because that’s precisely what the tip was intended for.

It's an all you can eat Chinese food. They had sushi, shrimp. Fried rice looked awful. I didn't touch it. Try to Noodles, and it just tastes so old. Spare ribs really didn't taste like spare ribs. All the food seems like it was heated after being cooked a day before. I'm sure this is exactly what they do they prepare the food the night before. I don't think anybody is actually cooking it fresh in the back. The place was very welcoming. The people cleaning the tables were funny and nice. The cashier when you walked in was very nice. You set yourself they have benches or tables. I just did not enjoy the food. It wasn't bad. It just really didn't seem like Chinese food. To me, Chinese food should be delicious and fresh. I give the place a 5+ I won't be returning.
