Hong Kong Restaurant

Nice local spot in Palo Alto! Came here after work because a friend recommended it—she used to pick up takeout here all the time. Must-try: • Pan-fried lotus root with shrimp paste—crispy outside, juicy inside • Soy sauce chicken & roast duck—super tender • Black pepper beef with Japanese tofu—flavorful and perfect with veggies • Vermicelli pot—tastes like stir-fried noodles with fish roe and egg, very unique! Portions are big, prices are great for the area (~$20 for beef), and the staff is super friendly. Street or back parking available.

We live quite close to them and been seeing tons of people coming. I bought a wanton soup take out just once and not a fan… but then I am really curios to try my 3 traditional Chinese food probably it would be a different experience. I am glad I did and it’s like the kind of food I grew up with back home so delicious and flavorful. The service not that good but I am a person who focus more on the product. Oh wow I know why this place is so popular and the prices so affordable. I only experienced these kind of delicious food in upscale Chinese restaurant. The temperature, portion, presentation overall excellent. It’s just delicious and flavorful food… I ate a lot and now we don’t need to go to San Francisco to have these experiences… they right here in our neighborhood. We had regular fried chicken, broccoli beef and beef chowfun…

The large mural is a photo of Hong Kong Island, creating the impression of dining on a terrace at a restaurant on the Kowloon Peninsula. The food here is amazingly good, with a special touch—a “secret” ingredient in the sauce that enhances the flavor. It’s a thoughtful detail, and we all truly appreciated it. The service was excellent, with polite and attentive servers who quickly addressed every request. If something wasn’t done right, they were happy to correct it without hesitation. Our five kids were entertained by free aquatic shows right by their seats, which kept them from running around the dining area and disturbing other customers. We were seated in a corner next to the aquarium, which was a fantastic spot. The owner is very kind and speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin, adding a personal touch to the overall experience.

Great place for a large group meal! It got a little loud in the restaurant as it filled up but it was no louder than a typical Cantonese restaurant during dim sum. The menu is extensive and worth browsing through before you get to the restaurant if you have young kids.

The food was delicious and the waiter was a lovely lady who brought us waters and fruits without asking. She took such a good care of us and the food was just amazing and large portions! We felt like we were taken care of here 😊
