About Hong Kong Palace
Hong Kong Palace is a Chinese restaurant located at 6387 Seven Corners Center, Falls Church, VA 22044, USA. You can contact them at (703) 532-0940 or +1 703-532-0940.
It's worth noting that while the restaurant is named Hong Kong Palace, the neon sign in Chinese translates to "Chengdu Restaurant," indicating that their specialty is predominantly Sichuanese cuisine, known for its spicy flavors. This is a local, family-run Chinese restaurant.
The restaurant features two menus: one in English and another in Chinese. According to a reviewer, the truly exceptional dishes are listed on the Chinese menu. While translation tools like Google Lens might be helpful, handwritten signs may pose a challenge. Ordering white rice is recommended, as the Sichuanese food served tends to be both spicy and salty.
One customer who ordered from the English menu found the flavors of their dishes, including Szechuan beef, general taos chicken, egg rolls, pork fried rice, and scallion pancakes, to be unimpressive. They also noted that the egg roll was soggy and not fully cooked.
The atmosphere is described as smaller and more casual. One reviewer mentioned that the lively conversations among Asian diners slightly detracted from the dining ambiance for them. However, for those seeking authentic Sichuanese food in the Arlington area (which is close to Falls Church), Hong Kong Palace (Chengdu Restaurant) is recommended. The reviewer expressed intent to return and explore more options on the Chinese menu.
Currently, no specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. However, Hong Kong Palace (Chengdu Restaurant) distinguishes itself by offering authentic Sichuan cuisine, with a recommendation to explore the dishes listed on their Chinese menu for the most genuine flavors.

We ordered Szechuan beef, general taos chicken, eggs rolls, pork fried rice, and scallion pancakes. Overall not impressed by the flavors of anything. Egg roll was soggy and not fully cooked.
Mom and pop local Chinese restaurant. Name of the restaurant is a misnomer -- the neon sign in Chinese translates to "Chengdu Restaurant". This restaurant serves predominantly Sichuanese (aka spicy) food. As in traditional Chinese restaurants, there's the English menu and Chinese menu. We ordered from both -- but the really good items are written in Chinese. Google Lens won't necessarily help you since the handwritten signs aren't the clearest (or maybe my camera lens was dirty). Food served was excellent -- you need to order white rice since the food is spicy and salty (compared to home cooking). Atmosphere gets dinged 1 star since the place is smaller, and Asian people speak loudly, hurting the dining ambiance (to me, at least). If you want authentic Sichuanese food in the Arlington area, this is the place to go. I would go back again and try other things on the Chinese menu.
The General Tso Chicken was mushy with little sauce, making it very dry once added to the rice. (We had requested extra crispy.) We ordered Teriyaki Chicken, which came as skewers of over salted chicken when we expected moist tidbits in a lovely sauce. This was the first time we ordered from them. We will get them another chance, however.
I had heard so many good things about this local Chinese restaurant from my friends, and I finally got to try it last week. It was absolutely delicious! My favorite dish was the spicy beef, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. The spicy shrimp was also outstanding, with a perfect sauce that mixed beautifully with all the vegetables. The bamboo dish deserves a special mention. It's one of the best I've had in the DMV area. The unique flavor, juicy and fresh bamboo, combined with a perfectly balanced sour and spicy sauce, makes it an ideal dish for the summer season. Overall, this restaurant truly lives up to its reputation. Highly recommended!
Great hidden gem. Love the Shrimp Fried Rice, Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Shrimp Egg Rolls, and the Egg Drop Soups. You definitely need to try the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce; it is the best we have ever had. Totally recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
