They can be contacted directly at (803) 642-7878 or +1 803-642-7878 for inquiries or to place an order.
Based on the available customer reviews, Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant offers delivery services. One reviewer specifically mentioned their experience with delivery, noting the timing and portion sizes. It is common for Chinese restaurants to also offer takeout services, and they may have dine-in facilities as well. Local users interested in takeout or dining in should contact the restaurant directly to confirm the availability of these options and any relevant details such as operating hours or dine-in capacity.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of the potential experience at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant, it is crucial to consider the recent feedback provided by customers in their online reviews. These firsthand accounts offer insights into various aspects of their food and service, although the overall sentiment appears to be negative.
One review detailed a delivery order where, while the timing and portions were deemed good, the taste of the food was found to be unsatisfactory. The customer reported that the wings, contrary to the menu description, were not crispy and lacked any seasoning. The fried rice was described as having a "horrible taste" and contained large pieces of onion. Furthermore, the egg drop soup was characterized as very thick, lacking seasoning, and having a bad taste. The only item found to be acceptable was the honey wings. Consequently, this customer stated that they would not order from Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant again.
Another customer who ordered online also reported a disappointing experience. They claimed that the restaurant did not follow instructions at all. The orange chicken was described as bland, and despite a request for orange slices, the order contained only a "pile of orange rinds." A specific request for the food to be "very very spicy please!" was entirely ignored, with the customer noting that there was no spice whatsoever and that the only orange flavor came from the rinds. Additionally, this reviewer pointed out a lack of choice between steamed and fried rice, resulting in their chicken dish being served with pork fried rice, which they disliked. Overall, this customer found their experience to be "very disappointing," echoing a sentiment about the difficulty of finding adequately spicy food in the city. They also expressed frustration with the lack of attention to specific order instructions.
Considering these two reviews, several significant concerns arise regarding the food quality and service at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant. Both reviews highlight issues with the taste of multiple dishes, including the fried rice, wings, and egg drop soup. The lack of seasoning and the unpleasant taste described are major drawbacks. The preparation of specific dishes also seems problematic, with the wings not being crispy and the orange chicken being bland. Furthermore, the failure to follow online order instructions, particularly regarding spice level and side dish preferences, indicates a potential lack of attention to detail and customer needs.
The negative feedback regarding the orange slices being replaced by rinds suggests a misunderstanding or disregard for the customer's request, further contributing to the overall dissatisfaction. The lack of choice between steamed and fried rice is also a limitation that may not suit all customers' preferences or dietary needs.
Based on these reviews, it is difficult to identify any strong positive features of Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant. While one reviewer mentioned good timing and portion sizes for delivery, these aspects were overshadowed by significant issues with the taste and preparation of the food. The lack of adherence to special instructions in the online order is another serious concern.
Without access to a menu, it is challenging to provide specific details about the variety of Chinese dishes offered at Hong Kong. However, based on the items mentioned in the reviews—wings (both plain and honey), fried rice, egg drop soup, and orange chicken—it is likely that they offer a range of standard Chinese-American fare. This typically includes various types of fried rice, noodle dishes, a selection of chicken, beef, pork, and seafood entrees prepared with different sauces and vegetables, as well as other common soups and appetizers.
For local users in Aiken, SC, seeking a Chinese restaurant, Hong Kong, located on Richland Ave W, offers delivery and likely takeout services, with potential for dine-in. However, the recent customer reviews raise significant concerns about the taste and preparation of their food, as well as their ability to follow specific order instructions. Potential customers should carefully consider this negative feedback before placing an order. The issues reported, such as unseasoned and poorly tasting food, non-crispy wings, and ignored special requests, could lead to a disappointing dining experience.
Promotional information for Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is not included in the provided reviews. Local users interested in any special offers, lunch specials, or discounts should contact the restaurant directly using the phone numbers provided. Many Chinese restaurants offer combination meals or discounts for certain order amounts. Checking local online platforms or social media (if Hong Kong has a presence) might also provide information about any current promotions.
In conclusion, Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant in Aiken, SC, has received negative feedback in recent customer reviews regarding the taste and preparation of their food, as well as their service in fulfilling online order instructions. While they offer delivery and likely takeout, the reported issues with bland and poorly flavored dishes, non-crispy items, and a failure to accommodate specific requests should be carefully considered by local users when choosing a Chinese restaurant. The lack of positive feedback regarding the food itself is a significant concern. It is recommended that potential customers weigh these negative experiences heavily before deciding to order from Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant.

Customer Reviews
We did delivery. The timing was good and the portions were good. The taste unfortunately was not. The wings were not crispy as the menu says. They taste like they have zero seasoning. The fried rice had a horrible taste with huge pieces of onion. My daughter said the egg drop soup was really thick, no seasoning & had a bad taste. She said the honey wings were ok. We wouldn’t order from there, again.
We ordered online. They don’t follow instructions at all. Orange chicken is bland. Asked for orange slices and got a pile of orange rinds. Asked for “very very spicy please!” No spice at all. The only orange flavor was the rinds…No choice in steamed rice or fried rice. So my chicken came with pork fried rice, which I don’t like. Overall it’s very disappointing. No one in this city can get the spicy level right. Some of us aren’t scared of spicy food.
Real vegetable fried rice. Dunno why but its been hard to find veggie fried rice. This is the one I like with cabbage and mushrooms etc. Good wings as well. Super crispy.
Noticed there aren't many photos and the reviews are mixed so I decided to play it safe with dishes that can't be screwed up; small beef w/ broccoli, small chicken lo mein, and 8 chicken wings. Everything was cooked well and hot. White rice came with the beef w/ broccoli. Everything had flavor. Sweet tea was nice, glad they didn't add ice because some places overdo it. For all this I paid $28 and change which seems fair because that's two days of meals for me. Food was ready when I arrived for pickup. Order was correct. Cashier guy was cordial. Don't think I'll ever order the fried rice given that it's yellow and not what we're accustomed to experiencing in Augusta's Chinese restaurants but the yellow rice thing seems to be an issue at all Chinese restaurants in Aiken. If anyone knows a place that makes the brown rice, let me know, thanks.
Super yummy Chinese takeout! We stopped here for takeout and were pleasantly surprised. The portions were huge, and everything was fresh and hot and super good. It was ready right on time, and well packaged for takeout. Will definitely come back again!
