About Hong Kong

Welcome to Hong Kong, a Chinese restaurant located at 1301-7 Monument Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225, USA. Hong Kong offers a variety of Chinese dishes to the local community in Jacksonville. They can be contacted at (904) 551-4021 or their mobile number, +1 904-551-4021, for inquiries or to place orders.

Based on recent customer reviews, the experience at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant appears to be somewhat mixed, with contrasting opinions on the quality of specific dishes. One customer expressed significant disappointment with their order, particularly the General Tso Chicken, which they described as the "theeeeee driest" they had ever had. This negative experience was strong enough to prompt them to leave a review, something they do not normally do, and they stated they would not order from Hong Kong again. This feedback suggests a potential issue with the preparation or moisture content of their General Tso Chicken.

In contrast, another reviewer mentioned the Moo Shu Pork served with pancakes. They noted that the pancakes tend to dry out quickly, advising that this particular dish might be best enjoyed at the restaurant. Despite this caveat about potential dryness, they also stated "Great Taste," indicating that the flavor of the Moo Shu Pork itself was enjoyable. This suggests that while some dishes might have textural challenges when taken out, the underlying taste can still be appreciated.

The limited number of reviews available makes it challenging to form a comprehensive picture of the overall food quality and consistency at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant. However, these two reviews highlight potential variability in the preparation of different dishes. The extremely dry General Tso Chicken reported by one customer is a significant concern, while the tasty but potentially drying Moo Shu Pork suggests that the quality might be dish-specific.

Information regarding the environment of Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is not provided in the available reviews. There are no comments about the cleanliness, decor, or overall ambiance of the dining area. Therefore, local users seeking information about the restaurant's atmosphere will not find it in this feedback.

Similarly, the reviews do not explicitly detail the services offered by Hong Kong. While one reviewer mentioned taking their order to go (implicitly, as they experienced the dryness of the General Tso Chicken after receiving it), the other suggested that the Moo Shu Pork with pancakes is best eaten at the restaurant, implying that dine-in service is available. Whether Hong Kong offers delivery services is not mentioned in the provided information. To get a clear understanding of their available services, it would be best to contact the restaurant directly.

In terms of features, the "Great Taste" mentioned in the context of the Moo Shu Pork suggests that flavor is a potential strength of some of their dishes. However, the issue with the dryness of the General Tso Chicken indicates a possible inconsistency in preparation. The fact that one reviewer ordered based on other (presumably unavailable) reviews and ended up disappointed highlights the importance of considering all available feedback, even if limited. The recommendation to eat the Moo Shu Pork with pancakes at the restaurant suggests that the optimal experience for some dishes might be in a dine-in setting.

Currently, there is no promotional information available from the provided reviews. There are no mentions of discounts, special offers, or any specific deals that Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant might be running. Local users interested in finding out about any promotions should contact the restaurant directly.

For local users in Jacksonville, Florida, considering Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant, the limited reviews present a mixed outlook. The report of extremely dry General Tso Chicken is a significant concern for those considering ordering this popular dish. On the other hand, the Moo Shu Pork is described as having a "Great Taste," although with a warning about potential dryness of the pancakes if not eaten promptly at the restaurant. Without more reviews, it is difficult to gauge the overall consistency and quality of Hong Kong's offerings. Potential customers might want to inquire about the preparation methods of specific dishes when ordering, especially if opting for takeout.

To obtain more information about Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant, including their menu, dine-in and takeout options, delivery availability (if any), and any current promotions, it is recommended to contact them directly at (904) 551-4021 or +1 904-551-4021. Given the limited and somewhat contradictory feedback, it might be prudent to ask specific questions about the dishes you are interested in before placing an order.

Theeeeee driest General Tso chicken I have ever had! I paid over $30 for my entire order because of the reviews and I’m definitely disappointed. I don’t normally leave reviews. I can’t let this slide! I will never order from here again!

This is a small business owned by a family, they are extremely pleasant and nice and my food is always fresh and delicious. I don’t get why there are so many bad reviews, I have never had any type of problem with this place. Shouts out Hong Kong for being yummy, affordable, and quick! ❤️

This was the most salty Chinese food I can remember having. I had the pork egg foo yung and was not surprised the gravy was salty. Thank goodness I didn't pour it all over my food because the rice was salty also. It barely had any meat in it. They made up for that with a lot of onions. The egg foo yung was really dense and also had almost no meat in it. I tried putting duck sauce on my food to cover the salty taste....that didn't work. I could eat even half of it. What a waste of $11.77.
