About Hong Kong Kitchen

Hong Kong Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant located at 2802 Clark Ave, Cleveland, OH 44109, serving the community primarily through takeout services. Operating within the platform category of "Chinese Restaurant," Hong Kong Kitchen has been a local fixture for many years, evidenced by a long-time customer who has been patronizing the establishment since their high school days. They can be contacted at (216) 566-8811 or via mobile phone at +1 216-566-8811 for placing orders or inquiries.

The available customer reviews primarily focus on the takeout aspect of Hong Kong Kitchen, with no specific details provided about a dine-in environment. As such, the restaurant likely emphasizes efficiency in order taking, food preparation, and packaging for customers to enjoy their meals off-site. The operational focus would be on the kitchen and the area designated for order pickup. While the ambiance of a dining room is not mentioned, the speed and accuracy of takeout service, along with the quality of the food for transport, are likely key priorities for Hong Kong Kitchen.

The standout feature of Hong Kong Kitchen, according to one long-time customer, is their wonton soup, which they describe as the "best wonton soup anywhere." This strong endorsement suggests that the wonton soup is a signature dish and a significant draw for customers. However, this same reviewer also expressed a preference for a previous version of the wontons, indicating a recent change in the recipe or style. Despite this preference for the original wontons, their continued patronage highlights the overall positive regard for Hong Kong Kitchen's offerings.

Another customer, originally from New York, who has a high standard for Chinese food, found Hong Kong Kitchen to be "pretty decent for Ohio food." While they noted that it doesn't compare to the Chinese food in New York (a common sentiment for those relocating from areas with established and distinct Chinese culinary scenes), their assessment of "pretty decent" suggests a satisfactory level of quality. This reviewer also indicated a willingness to return and try other dishes on the menu, implying a positive enough first experience to warrant further exploration of their culinary offerings.

The two available reviews, while limited, provide insights into the food quality at Hong Kong Kitchen. The exceptional praise for the wonton soup from a long-term customer suggests a strength in this particular dish, even with a noted change in the wontons themselves. The "pretty decent" rating from someone accustomed to a different regional style of Chinese food indicates that Hong Kong Kitchen offers a satisfactory standard that is appreciated by those in the local area. The willingness of the latter reviewer to try more from the menu hints at a belief in the overall quality and variety of their offerings.

Currently, the provided information does not include any details about specific promotional offers or specials at Hong Kong Kitchen. Chinese takeout restaurants often have lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts for certain order amounts. Given the absence of this information in the reviews, it would be advisable for potential customers to contact Hong Kong Kitchen directly at (216) 566-8811 or +1 216-566-8811 to inquire about their current menu and any ongoing promotions that might be available. This direct communication can provide the most up-to-date information on pricing and value deals.

In conclusion, Hong Kong Kitchen in Cleveland, OH, is a long-established Chinese restaurant primarily serving the community through takeout. It is particularly known for its wonton soup, which has been a favorite of a long-time customer. While one reviewer noted a change in the wontons and preferred the original style, their continued patronage speaks to the overall appeal of the food. Another customer from New York found the food to be a "pretty decent" option in Ohio and expressed interest in trying more from the menu. These reviews suggest that Hong Kong Kitchen offers a reliable and satisfactory Chinese takeout experience for local users in Cleveland. I ordered here several times without an issue , except for tonight's. I order with Uber Eats and never had a problem. I ordered my usual Chicken with Garlic Sauce Combination plate , pint of Wonton Soup, and a bottle of Coke. They got the Wonton soup and Pop correct , but gave me the wrong other food . They gave me some kind of beef dish and a container of white rice, no chicken with garlic sauce and no egg roll. Got refunded from Uber Eats for getting wrong item , but called to tell them what happened , and to see if they had the chicken with garlic sauce before I reordered, dude on the phone was rude and didn't seem like he cared and even blamed Uber Eats. BAD customer service, and you guys lost a long time customer.

I've had a horrific experience at this Chinese restaurant. The food quality is appalling, and I strongly suspect they reuse and reheat old food. Since eating here, I've been experiencing severe food poisoning symptoms, including non-stop vomiting, recurring fevers, and persistent coughing. To make matters worse, the customer service is extremely poor. I strongly advise against eating at this restaurant.

Food is absolutely terrible ordered door Dash. It came quickly, but they brought the wrong food. I wasted my money entirely. I ordered chow fun flat big noodles. I got two orders of mei fun tiny little rice noodles nobody likes. And that's NOT AT ALL the same thing. And then I ordered two pork egg rolls and something was smelling sour I couldn't figure it out, told my husband we figured out the egg rolls were VERY sour smelling and I'm worried cause I ate part of one of them. Then I ordered pork fried rice, the rice is hard, not done all of the way, there is no bean sprouts, no onions inside of it. It was absolutely horrible I wasted my money, dont want any of it and want a refund.
