About Hong Kong Fishball House
Hong Kong Fishball House is a Chinese restaurant located at 18414 Colima Rd in Rowland Heights, California. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant platform category, Hong Kong Fishball House offers a specific niche within Chinese cuisine, likely specializing in dishes popular in Hong Kong. While detailed information regarding the restaurant's environment, comprehensive services, extensive features, and current promotional offers is not abundantly available online, we can construct an objective introduction based on the provided customer reviews.
Within the broader category of Chinese Restaurants, establishments like Hong Kong Fishball House often focus on regional specialties or particular styles of cooking. Hong Kong cuisine itself is a unique blend of Cantonese influences with touches of British and other international flavors, resulting from its history as a British colony. Dishes like fishball noodles, various types of congee, roasted meats, and milk tea are staples. Restaurants specializing in this style aim to bring the authentic tastes of Hong Kong to their local communities.
Based on the limited customer feedback, insights into the environment of Hong Kong Fishball House are somewhat restricted. One reviewer mentions "sitting outside," which suggests that the restaurant may offer outdoor seating. This could be an appealing option for customers who prefer al fresco dining, especially in pleasant weather. However, the reviewer's comment about the price being "over-priced" for sitting outside also indicates that the outdoor ambiance might not fully justify the cost of the meal for some patrons. Further information about the indoor seating or overall décor is not provided in the reviews.
In terms of services, the reviews offer limited specifics. The mention of ordering a "beef combination rice noodle (in soup)" implies that the restaurant offers dine-in service and likely has a menu featuring various noodle and soup dishes. The fact that a customer "always come here to get the fried intestines" suggests that they offer a consistent menu with specialty items that attract repeat business. However, details regarding takeout, delivery options, or catering services are not available in the provided feedback. Local users interested in these services would need to contact the restaurant directly.
The features of Hong Kong Fishball House can be gleaned from the specific dishes mentioned in the reviews. The name itself suggests that "fishballs" are a prominent feature of their menu, likely served in various forms, such as with noodles in soup, a classic Hong Kong street food. One reviewer specifically mentions enjoying the "fried intestines," indicating that this is a specialty dish that draws them to the restaurant whenever they are in the area. This suggests that Hong Kong Fishball House might offer some less common or more adventurous dishes alongside more standard fare.
Another featured dish mentioned is the "beef combination rice noodle (in soup)." This is a popular Hong Kong staple, often featuring tender slices of beef and other ingredients in a flavorful broth with smooth rice noodles. The reviewer's comment about the price of this dish when sitting outside being $9.31 provides a specific data point about their pricing for at least one menu item. It also highlights a customer's perception of value based on the dining environment.
Interestingly, one reviewer mentions that they would "go next door for stinky tofu too." This suggests that Hong Kong Fishball House might be located near other establishments offering different types of Asian cuisine, potentially making the area a hub for diverse food options. However, this doesn't directly provide information about the features of Hong Kong Fishball House itself.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Hong Kong Fishball House based on the provided customer reviews. Restaurants often use promotions to attract new customers or reward loyal patrons. These could include discounts on specific dishes, lunch specials, or combination deals. Without further information, it's impossible to comment on any current or past promotions offered by this establishment.
For local users in Rowland Heights seeking a taste of Hong Kong cuisine, Hong Kong Fishball House appears to be a place that offers specific, well-liked dishes such as fried intestines and, presumably, various preparations of fishballs. The availability of outdoor seating might be a plus for some, although one reviewer found the price of a noodle dish to be somewhat high for that setting. If you have a craving for authentic Hong Kong flavors and are interested in trying their specialties, Hong Kong Fishball House might be worth a visit.

It seems the noodles getting more expensive. I don't mind paying $9.31 for a beef combination rice noodle (in soup) in a resteraunt. However, for sitting outside, the $9.31 is definely over-priced.
Always come here to get the fried intestines when I'm in the area. Love it! I would go next door for stinky tofu too.
The flavor is totally unrelated to Hong Kong but it is very good. Beef is very tender and well cooked. The soup is very good too. I always love it. I always order the beef stew noodle soup
I grew up with HK food being born there and I can 100% say that this place does not represent HK. The worker doesn’t speak any CANTONESE at all, only mandarin. The noodles are WAY OVER PRICED and the wontons are not HK style. It is Hunan northern style where the meat is barely the head of a chopstick. Even the Costco wontons are bigger and have actual meat. I asked for beef belly noodle (ngow-lom mein) and they gave me beef tripe and told me it’s the same. No it’s NOT. Ok so I order 2 noodles and an “famous pork intestine”, total came out to be $29! And I get to eat on a rotted Rusty table with flies all around. Asked for a cup of coffee and they charge $4, and Starbucks Americano venti is only $3.85. Crazy, this place is not worth the money, not worth my time and I wasted precious stomach space that I could’ve went to any HK cafe to get better food.
Hands down the most delicious bowl of beef and noodles that I've had in the area. It doesn't matter what kind of beef and noodles, or the restaurant, or whether it's Korean, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, etc., this beef noodle flavor beats them all and has the most umami. The setting is very casual and outdoor dining only.
