Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

My boyfriend and I really wanted some chow mein and there arent many good Chinese places near us, so we ordered takeout from here. They were quick and friendly both on the phone and in person. Drove all the way to the village of clarkston and picked it up, got home and discovered that there.. were no noodles. My chow mein was just a pile of vegetables sitting in a clear sauce. It came with wonton crisps and a side of rice, but not a single noodle was in my noodle dish. We ate maybe two or three bites, threw it out, and ordered our noodles elsewhere. Flavor was fine, but literally so far from being chow mein it wasnt even comparable. Not sure if theyre trying to say the wonton crisps are the “crispy noodles” or what, but regardless of the situation I’m extremely disappointed in what i received and will not be coming back. For a first-timer who drove 40 minutes for a takeout box of dissatisfaction, this was an extremely bad first impression that they will not get the chance to fix. Don’t go here if you want your noodles to be…well… noodles.

I love the food. It was so delicious and the Lomein and dumpling was delicious as well. I drive 25 minutes to eat here. You know I'm passing up a million other places. I don't mind the drive because the food is good.

I was very disappointed with my food during my recent visit. I've only ever had great food here until now. The rice had barely any sauce in it and was clumpy. The wonton crackers were messed up. Even worse, there was a piece of some kind metal in the bag. It was very disappointing and upsetting.

Food was terrible, had to throw most of it away. Ordered Szechuan Chicken, General TSO, Beef with Peas, LO Main with chicken, and Wonton Soup. There was definitely more rice with combos than main course. The egg rolls had a layer of I believe white rice in them and tasted weird. I like the traditional egg rolls. I think they must have changed ownership because I ate there 2-3 months ago and thought it was good. What a disappointment after spending $ 48.71 for dinner.

I been there since they open, and for over 20 years they've rarely had problems with my order. The food is really good, they work every hard and they are really nice. I just don't understand why people will write such hateful comments on purpose.
