About Hong Kong Boy

Hong Kong Boy is a Chinese Restaurant located at 6201 8th Ave in Brooklyn, NY. While its exterior might be unassuming, customer reviews suggest that it offers a worthwhile culinary experience. One local resident, who had lived in the area for 12 years without trying it, expressed pleasant surprise after finally dining there, noting that all the dishes ordered were seasoned just right, without excessive saltiness.

Currently, Hong Kong Boy has removed indoor seating but has thoughtfully provided outdoor seating for customers who wish to eat on-site. This outdoor area is equipped with air conditioning, which is turned on upon customer arrival. The restaurant seems to be a popular spot for a quick lunch, particularly for their noodle soups. Customers have highlighted the generous food portions relative to the price charged, as well as the substantial amount of meat included in each order. The roasted duck has been specifically praised as "very yummy."

However, some customers have noted that the wait times can be a bit long. Additionally, one reviewer mentioned a lack of enforcement of social distancing inside the premises. Despite these points, the positive feedback regarding the flavorful food, particularly the well-seasoned dishes and delicious roasted duck, along with the affordable and generous portions, makes Hong Kong Boy a place worth considering for a satisfying Chinese meal in Brooklyn.

This place might not look like much on the outside, which is part of the reason why I've lived here for 12 years and never thought to come inside, but boy am I glad I did. Everything I ordered was seasoned just right - not so crazy salty that I have to eat them with rice. I''m definitely coming back to try their other dishes.

They had removed all the indoor seating, but they set up outdoor seating for customers who needed seats to eat. It was for self service. The outdoor seating area had AC, but they only turned it on when they saw customers were seating there. We went for a quick lunch, so ordered a few noodle soup. The food portion is big given the price charged. They gave lots of meat for each order. The roasted duck was very yummy. The only problem was that the wait was a bit long and they did not enforce social distancing inside.

Some of the best Cantonese food I’ve had in a while. Delicious beef with mushrooms, very authentic for sure. Not much to look at from outside but worth going in. Service was very good.

Located in Chinatown, Brooklyn. Really good authentic Cantonese cooking. They have a special on lobster at $13 per serve as long as you order a chef special. Delicious food
