About Hong Kong Bowl

Hong Kong Bowl is a Chinese Restaurant located at 1632 Firestone Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90001, USA. Based on online reviews, customer experiences appear to be quite varied.

One long-time customer who no longer resides in Los Angeles mentions that they still think about this spot and make an effort to visit whenever they are in town. They specifically praise the "great noodles" and note that they have been "consistently delicious for decades," recommending it as a "must try." This suggests that Hong Kong Bowl may have a history of serving a noodle dish that has garnered lasting positive feedback.

However, a more recent review paints a starkly different picture, describing it as the "worst Chinese fast food" the customer has ever had. This reviewer detailed a costly order of a plate and four wings that totaled almost $18. The individual components of the meal – chow mein with mushroom chicken, orange chicken, and wings – were criticized for being oily and flavorless (chow mein), mostly mush with little chicken (orange chicken), wet and bland (mushroom chicken), and mostly fat with undercooked insides (wings). This customer, who was trying Hong Kong Bowl for the first time since moving to the area, stated they would never return and considered it the "worst $18" they had ever spent, advising others to "stay away from this place."

Given these contrasting opinions, it's difficult to provide a definitive assessment. While some customers have found the noodles to be a consistently positive feature over a long period, more recent experiences suggest potential issues with the quality of other menu items and pricing. For those considering Hong Kong Bowl, it may be beneficial to weigh these differing perspectives. You can contact them at (323) 584-9125 or mobile at +1 323-584-9125.

I don’t live in LA anymore but I still think about this spot and I try to go each time I visit. Great noodles. They have been consistently delicious for decades. Must try.

Worst Chinese fast food Ive ever had. I ordered a plate and 4 wings which ended up costing almost $18 which is already insane, I had chow mein with mushroom chicken, orange chicken, and 4 wings. The chow mein was oily and flavorless, orange chicken was basically all mush and no chicken, and the mushroom chicken was wet and bland. The chicken wings were mostly fat and the inside was barely cooked. First time trying this since I've moved to this area and never again will. Worst $18 I've ever spent. Stay away from this place.

I bought two combo meals and an an order of shrimp on the side. The BBQ pork was nothing but fatty and the shrimp was so dried out underneath the batter that it had become this hard shrimp jerky that I couldn’t even chew. it must of sat under that heat lamp all day and I wouldn’t doubt it if it was just left over from the day before. It was terrible! I will not be going back there anytime soon!
