Based on customer feedback, the environment of Hong Kong 97 is somewhat unique for a Chinese restaurant, as it features video poker machines and a bar area in the front. This setup might appeal to customers looking for a casual spot to enjoy a meal while also having access to entertainment options. However, it's important to note this aspect of the ambiance for those who might have different expectations of a traditional Chinese restaurant setting.

The service at Hong Kong 97 has been consistently praised. One customer specifically mentioned that the staff was "incredibly friendly" and greeted them immediately upon entering to pick up a to-go order. Another reviewer also noted that the "customer service is excellent" and that their food arrived quickly. This suggests that Hong Kong 97 prioritizes customer satisfaction through friendly and efficient service, both for dine-in and takeout customers.

In terms of its features, Hong Kong 97 offers both dine-in and takeout options. A notable feature mentioned in the reviews is their Combination Lunch Special B, priced at $9.50, which includes Sweet & Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice, and Pork Chow Mein. For customers dining in and ordering this special, it also comes with a complimentary cup of soup, with the Hot & Sour soup being one of the options. This lunch special appears to be a good value and a popular choice among diners.

The quality of the food at Hong Kong 97 seems to have mixed reviews. One customer who ordered takeout had a less than satisfactory experience. They found the dough on the pot stickers to be excessively thick and undercooked. Additionally, they described the pork lo mein as consisting mainly of noodles and bean sprouts, suggesting a lack of substantial ingredients. This review indicates that some dishes might not meet all customers' expectations in terms of preparation and ingredient quality.

On the other hand, a customer who tried the Combination Lunch Special B found the food to be "good" and considered it a "great deal" for the price. This positive feedback suggests that some of the lunch specials might offer a satisfying and affordable option for diners. The discrepancy in reviews highlights the importance of considering individual dishes and experiences when evaluating the overall food quality at Hong Kong 97.

When I walked in to pick up my to-go order and saw the video poker machines and the bar up front, I held out hope that there might be good food here. The staff was incredibly friendly and greeted me right away. Alas, the food wasn't the best I've had. I'll be honest: the dough on the pot stickers was so thick that it wasn't quite cooked. The pork lo mein looked like it was only noodles and bean sprouts.

The food was good and it's a great deal. Customer service is excellent and our food came out quickly. Thank you 😄.

When I tell you I never leave review I mean it. If you love deep fried food and an ungodly amount of oil this place is for you. Their service and the people were great but the food was so fried I felt sick after. And No, I’m not a picky eater but it seemed like everything was pumped full of oil. Eat at your own risk.
