Hong Kong 888 Cafe

On a cold night in Rosindale I ventured into a small takeout spot. Friendly service, nice portion sizes, not much of a sit-down dining area, but happy they offered and they had some books to read while you wait. I had the Beef Lo Mein and a side of Crab Rangoon, fast service, price was decent, and food was good!

I haven't been here in a while and decided to take the drive and get some dinner. I ordered over the phone two dinner plates. It came up to $34.24, I thought that was pretty expensive but hey, inflation is real! I picked up the food, got home, and opened the first plate....oh wowww!!!! That's a little of bit of ribs on the plate. I proceeded to open the second plate, to witness ONE CHICKEN WING on the plate! ONE! I told the lady I'd be back but after witnessing the two plates I purchased for $35 and one wing....hell no!

Everything we ordered, was absolutely without taste. The only thing that he had taste with lobster sauce, but the taste was sold. It had at least three times the amount of salt that most people could tolerate. None of the food was edible, so we just threw it out. Will not be ordering from Hong Kong 88 again.

Tried this place for the first time, and last time. Food was not good. I ordered a pupu platter, tofu, and hot and sour soup. Pupu Platter had oil all on the bottom. Spare ribs were all fatty. Chicken fingers were burnt. Crab Rangoons were good, same with the beef teriyaki. Hot and sour soup was not spicy at all. It also smelled off, after 2 bites I just threw it out. The tofu was stuck together with no sauce. Sucks cause I love trying new places but this was not it.

Best Chinese take out in the area by far. Crab Rangoons are really good. Combo specials are a really good deal and easily serve 2 for dinner.
