About Honest Niles

Honest Niles is a restaurant located at 8351 W Golf Rd Unit A, Niles, IL 60714, USA. You can contact them at (847) 594-4117 or +1 847-594-4117.

Based on recent customer reviews, it's important to note that while this platform categorizes Honest Niles as a Chinese restaurant, the feedback suggests it primarily serves Indian cuisine. Customers have reported a largely negative experience with the food quality at this location.

One reviewer described their experience as "very bad," stating that while other locations of the same name were amazing, the food at this Niles location was inedible. They specifically mentioned a "papdi chat" dish that tasted only of garlic sauce and a "rava masala dosa" that, despite a 25-30 minute wait, tasted two days old and not like a dosa. Similarly, the "uttapam" was described as buttered, crispy, and unexpectedly containing peas. The only dish deemed decent by this reviewer was the noodles, while the "manchurian" was reported as burnt and rock hard. Furthermore, all the food served was not warm, oily, and seemed microwaved rather than freshly made.

Another customer echoed the sentiment of below-average food quality, mentioning that the "Pav Bhaji," "Poori," and "Mango Falooda" were all average. They found the "Mango Falooda" to be very bland and inedible. This reviewer also expressed a desire for more authentic flavors.

The only positive aspect mentioned in the reviews was the ample seating available in the restaurant.

In summary, despite its categorization, Honest Niles in Niles appears to be an Indian restaurant based on customer feedback. Recent reviews indicate significant concerns regarding the food quality, with multiple dishes being described as poorly prepared, lacking flavor, and not freshly made. The only noted positive is the availability of seating. Potential customers are strongly advised to consider these recent experiences before dining here.

Very bad honest restaurant experience. Have been to another locations, which are amazing, but the food here is not edible at all. They did not get a basic โ€œpapdi chatโ€ dish right as it tasted like nothing except garlic sauce. We were told the rava masala dosa will take 25-30 mins and after that you expect it to come out hot but tasted like 2 days old and nothing like a dosa. Same thing with uttapam, which very just buttered and crispy and also had peas, never expected that in an uttapam. The only decent dish was noodles. Another bad dish was manchurian, which was burnt and rock hard. All the food served was not even warm, and just oily & microwaved. Nothing tasted freshly made.

The only good thing about this store is plenty of seating.Food was below average. Had Pav Bhaji, Poori , Mango falooda. All of them were average. Mango Falooda was very bland and I couldnโ€™t finish it all. Wish they could be more authentic.

Chole bathura was really authentic and tasty . But the chilli paneer and schezwan noodles was so dried and salty . It tasted so weird, seemed liked had too much of soya sauce and vinegar.

Microwaved and butter are the two words that defined my food. I went with my family so tried 5 different items and all of them were ready to go warmed up food. Their signature plate of pavbhaaji was simply filled with butter and I am not sure if this is their one off thing or normal. Next time, I would pick better options in the neighborhood and avoid this place.

The best Indian chaat and express meals. They are famous for Dosa and Pav. The dosa was not oily or greasy. It was perfect and light. Rich in flavors of vegetables and spices. It comes with chetney. The reason for giving 4 stars ๐ŸŒŸ is that one of the chetney dip was expired and smelly. The staff and helpful and friendly. But it worth to come again if the management look for this comment to improve.
