About Ho Wun Chinese Restaurant

Ho Wun Chinese Restaurant is a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, situated at 39 Gravois Bluffs Plaza Dr in Fenton, MO 63026, USA. For residents of Fenton and the surrounding areas looking for a quick and budget-friendly meal, Ho Wun offers both Chinese and Thai food options. They can be contacted at (636) 326-2955 or their mobile number +1 636-326-2955 for inquiries or to place an order.

Based on customer reviews, Ho Wun Chinese Restaurant is described as a "casual restaurant." This suggests a relaxed and informal dining environment, likely suitable for quick meals and casual gatherings. While specific details about the decor or ambiance are not mentioned, the emphasis on speed and affordability indicates a functional setting rather than a focus on elaborate decor. It's a place where the priority seems to be on efficient service and accessible prices.

The primary service highlighted in the reviews is the exceptionally fast speed of food preparation. One customer was astounded that their food was ready "in under 5 minutes of ordering," which they noted is significantly faster than the typical 15-25 minute wait they are accustomed to. This incredibly quick service suggests that Ho Wun may be an ideal option for individuals who are "on a crunch" and need a meal served rapidly. This efficiency likely applies to both dine-in and takeout orders. Delivery service is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, so it would be advisable to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about this option.

A significant feature of Ho Wun Chinese Restaurant, according to one reviewer, is its affordability. They stated that "By 2024 standards, this place is inexpensive. One can eat for under 15 USD." This makes Ho Wun an attractive option for budget-conscious diners looking for a reasonably priced meal. The combination of fast service and low prices could be a key draw for those seeking a convenient and economical dining choice.

However, the reviews present contrasting opinions on the quality of the food. One customer found the food to be "good," although they admitted to not having a "superb palate" and that they easily enjoy the flavor of food. This suggests that while the food may be satisfactory for some, it might not meet the standards of those with more discerning tastes. In stark contrast, another reviewer described their experience as "probably the worst Chinese I ever had." They specifically criticized several dishes. The Crab Rangoon was reported to be "just cream cheese," lacking the expected crab filling. The rice was described as "yellow and very bland," indicating a potential lack of flavor and proper preparation. The General Tso Chicken was said to "taste like it is dipped in soy sauce," suggesting an unbalanced and overly salty flavor profile, leading to significant disappointment with the meal.

Given these divergent opinions, it is difficult to definitively assess the overall quality of the food at Ho Wun. The extremely fast preparation time might contribute to inconsistencies in food quality, as suggested by the negative review. While some may find the food acceptable, others may be highly dissatisfied. The menu includes both Chinese and Thai options, offering a variety of dishes. However, the specific Thai dishes and their quality are not discussed in the provided reviews.

There is no promotional information available in the provided customer reviews. Local restaurants often have daily specials or promotions that might not be mentioned in online feedback. To learn about any current special offers, discounts, or combination deals that Ho Wun Chinese Restaurant might be running, it is recommended to contact them directly via phone. You might also inquire if they have a website or any social media presence where they might announce promotions.

In conclusion, Ho Wun Chinese Restaurant in Fenton, MO, offers a casual dining experience with a notable feature of exceptionally fast service and affordable prices, with meals reportedly available for under $15. They serve both Chinese and Thai cuisine. However, customer reviews on food quality are mixed, with one finding the food "good" and another describing it as "probably the worst Chinese I ever had," citing issues with bland rice, overly salty General Tso Chicken, and Crab Rangoon filled only with cream cheese. Potential local users seeking a very quick and inexpensive meal may find Ho Wun appealing, but those with higher expectations for food quality should be aware of the negative feedback provided. To inquire about their menu, services, and any potential promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is advisable.

I’m telling you, if you need to eat on a crunch, the food is out in under 5 minutes of ordering. It’s insane. I’m used to waiting 15-25 minutes for food to be cooked. I understand food takes time to prepare and cook. The food is faster than fast food. It’s crazy. I think the food here is good, but I do not have a superb palate. It doesn’t take much for me to enjoy the flavor of something. This is a casual restaurant with Chinese and Thai food options. By 2024 standards, this place is inexpensive. One can eat for under 15 USD.

My food was great, I’ve been coming here for years. The cashier was awful. She clearly hates her job and having to deal with customers, every interaction I’ve ever had with her has been this way (why work customer service then?) slamming the keyboard and the register drawer just because we came in to order? Sorry. Guess I won’t next time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The back service was great though, sorry guys, but you definitely need a new cashier since she presents herself so poorly.

Ordered chicken fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. The fried rice tasted and looked like Lipton rice you get in a bag at grocery store, and was very very salty! Do not recommend! The sweet and sour chicken was just ok! Have had better and definitely have had worse. Most likely won’t be back!

We ordered our food and the whole order was wrong . The orange chicken looks black and there was hair on the crab ragoon and our lo mein noodles . We ordered a special lo mein and it was just plain no meat . We went back to get a refund and the girl didnt even apologize. She said they dont do refunds. I will never order from here . Very disappointed
