DO NOT EAT HERE! FOOD quality is terrible and they are RACIST! We dined in just to have a family night in china town. Usually we go to David’s and don’t have a problem.. The food quality was so terrible that my stomach began to turn after the first few bites. The chicken tasted extremely old in my house lo mein and the water chestnuts were sour as if they were bad. My sister had ordered the shrimp and broccoli and her food was so cold that the host admitted and said “oops” and sent it back to reheat Our host (pictured below) gave me a very hard time when my friend sent their chicken and broccoli back. Our food was cold to warm in temperature and it had a stale old taste.. once he sent it back, the server said “I’m not taking it off the bill because we made it already” . My friend literally did not eat it at all. Just tasted the sauce. As we were ready to pay (even though the food was disgusting as well as the service) the host made a very prejudiced remark and said “make sure you tip me” we said “maybe next time” and he said “you people so cheap, you probably don’t tip anywhere” . I usually tip 20-25% wherever and had plenty of cash on me and still did not feel inclined to do so after such a terrible experience.. but the service was so terrible and after “telling” me to tip it felt so insulting that I did not do so.
The service is great and the food is fantastic! Highly recommend the Taiwan Rice Noodles Soup with Chicken and Shrimp! Also the Vegetable Rice Noodles are delicious. Love that they are open until 2:00 a.m. on weekends.
My recent visit to this restaurant in Chinatown yielded a mixed experience. The food offered a blend of hits and misses. We ordered fried dumplings, which while slightly overcooked and bulky, possessed a flavorful sauce that enhanced their taste. We also got rice noodles with shrimp and chicken which was passable in taste, accompanied by generous portions. Yet the starter soup was rather unpalatable. The Hunan chicken dish was satisfactory but left room for improvement. On the brighter side, the shrimp fried rice was enjoyable, offering a decent flavor profile. Regrettably, the service fell short of expectations. We were served water in unclean glasses, indicating a lapse in hygiene standards. Moreover, the incident where the aged waiter accidentally spilled water while clearing our table was handled quite insensitively. His dismissive attitude, making light of the situation without an apology, was disappointing. The restaurant itself seemed to lack proper cleanliness and hygiene, evident throughout the premises. While some might find it reasonable for the price, the overall hygiene concerns and lackluster service make it unlikely for me to revisit anytime soon.
First time eating in this restaurant dishes, waiter and waitress were very nice and friendly recommended three dishes cause we have no idea what to order.
We had a great time with my friends in here. We wanted to try authentic food. My favorite thing was the beef noodle soup! It was so good! Hope to come back in the future. The man that served us was really kind. The tea was also good! 😊
