About Ho's Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Ho's Chinese Restaurant, a long-established culinary presence located at 4232 S Broadway ste b, St. Louis, MO 63111, USA. You can reach them at (314) 351-2247 or their mobile number +1 314-351-2247 for orders or inquiries. Situated on South Broadway in St. Louis, Ho's Chinese Restaurant has garnered a reputation as a "great spot for Asian food" according to local patrons, with some even having grown up eating their dishes, indicating a deep-rooted history within the community.

As a Chinese restaurant serving the St. Louis area, Ho's appears to offer a variety of Asian cuisine, with a particular emphasis implied by its categorization. One of the recurring themes in the customer reviews is the quality of the food. One long-time resident of the area, who admits to being biased due to years of patronage, explicitly states that Ho's is "definitely a great spot for Asian food!" This strong endorsement from someone with a history with the restaurant speaks volumes about its consistent quality and appeal over time.

Another customer who tried the veggie fried rice described it as "wonderful!" This specific positive feedback on a vegetarian option suggests that Ho's caters to a range of dietary preferences and can deliver flavorful dishes beyond just meat-centric choices. The reviewer also mentioned knowing the owner for years but had never tried the food until this occasion, expressing regret for not having done so sooner and stating their intention to return. This highlights the positive impression made by their first culinary experience at Ho's.

An interesting aspect mentioned in one of the reviews is the character of the staff, described as "sassy, but for good reason." The reviewer humorously notes that the restaurant is located in a "questionable location" (a sentiment often jokingly shared about beloved, long-standing local eateries) and suggests that the staff's demeanor might be a response to the environment and the "characters in my old neighborhood" they have to deal with. This paints a picture of a resilient and perhaps no-nonsense team that has adapted to their surroundings. While "sassy" might be interpreted negatively in some contexts, the reviewer here seems to view it as part of the restaurant's charm and a justifiable reaction to their daily interactions. This adds a unique layer to the perception of the service at Ho's – it might not be overly polished or traditionally formal, but it is likely genuine and perhaps even entertaining for those familiar with the local dynamics.

The reference to the location being "questionable" is a noteworthy point. It suggests that the restaurant might not be situated in a visually upscale or conventionally attractive area. However, the reviewer's subsequent praise for the food implies that the quality of the cuisine more than compensates for any perceived shortcomings of the location. This is a common phenomenon where long-standing, beloved restaurants in less glamorous areas become known as hidden gems due to the excellence of their offerings.

The reviews do not provide specific details about the environment or ambiance of Ho's Chinese Restaurant itself. However, the mention of it being a place where the reviewer grew up eating implies a sense of familiarity and perhaps a casual, neighborhood-friendly atmosphere rather than a high-end dining experience. It is likely a comfortable and unpretentious setting that prioritizes the food and service over elaborate decor.

The services offered by Ho's Chinese Restaurant appear to include dine-in, given that customers have eaten at the location. The mention of takeout is not explicit in these short reviews, but it is a common offering for Chinese restaurants, and it is reasonable to assume that Ho's likely provides this option as well, especially given the local following mentioned. The phone numbers provided can be used to inquire about takeout and any other services they might offer, such as delivery (though not mentioned in the reviews).

In terms of features, the consistently "great Asian food" is undoubtedly the primary draw of Ho's Chinese Restaurant. The specific mention of a "wonderful" veggie fried rice highlights their ability to cater to vegetarian preferences with flavorful dishes. The long-standing presence in the community and the loyalty of customers who have been eating there for years suggest a consistent quality and a menu that has stood the test of time. The "sassy" but presumably effective staff, who have earned a degree of understanding from long-time patrons, could also be considered a unique characteristic of the establishment.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided customer reviews. Local restaurants often have daily specials, lunch deals, or other promotions to attract customers. To learn about any current offers at Ho's Chinese Restaurant, it would be best to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers or to check if they have any online presence where such information might be shared.

In conclusion, Ho's Chinese Restaurant on South Broadway in St. Louis appears to be a well-regarded local establishment known for its consistently great Asian food. The positive feedback from long-time customers, including specific praise for dishes like the veggie fried rice, suggests a reliable and tasty culinary experience. While the location might be described as "questionable" by one reviewer, this seems to be outweighed by the quality of the food and the unique character of the staff, who are described as "sassy" but understood by the community. For local users in St. Louis and the surrounding areas looking for a dependable Chinese restaurant with a history of serving the community well, Ho's Chinese Restaurant is definitely worth considering. To inquire about their full menu, services like takeout or delivery, and any current promotions, contacting them directly is recommended.

All the best food spots in STL are in questionable locations! 🤣🤣 I grew up eating Ho's, so I'm definitely biased, but it's definitely a great spot for Asian food! The staff is sassy, but for good reason. They have to deal with the characters in my old neighborhood. Great food here if you are in the area!

Had it twice once was terrible the other time was AMAZING.Worth trying again.I love that it is where working girls are sometimes dressed up strolling and it IS aptly called Ho's Cuisine. The sign makes me laugh. That alone makes it a local staple that I hope stays.

This is their Hot Braised Chicken combo plate. About $7 total. It’s very hard to find food this cheap. It’s decent, too! The egg roll had strong garlic flavor, the fried rice tasted of slightly burnt soy sauce but was still good. The sauce on the chicken was sweet and sour, I didn’t detect any heat.
