About Ho Le Chan

Welcome to Ho Le Chan, a Chinese Restaurant located at 2344 E Clearfield St, Philadelphia, PA 19134, USA. Ho Le Chan offers a variety of Chinese dishes to the local community.

Ho Le Chan provides its own delivery service, which some customers have found to be a cost-effective alternative to third-party platforms like Uber Eats and DoorDash. One customer reported a fast and hot delivery experience with their beef egg foo young and white rice, noting a great price and expressing intent to order again.

However, other customer experiences have been less positive. One review described the food as highly priced and of horrible taste, stating it was the worst Chinese food they had in a long time. Specific criticisms included brown pork fried rice, fries tasting like egg rolls, and beef lo mein with good flavored noodles but chewy beef. This customer indicated they would not recommend or order from Ho Le Chan again.

I ordered delivery using their own delivery in order to get around Uber Eats and Door dash fees. I ordered beef egg foo young with white rice and it came super fast, hot and at a great price. I recommend and will be ordering from this place again.

Food was highly priced and tasted horrible. Worst Chinese I had in a long time. Their pork fried rice is brown. The fries tasted like egg rolls. Beef lomein had good flavored noodles but beef was so chewy! I won't recommend or ever order from here again

I've been ordering from here for years because it's hands down the best Chinese food in the area. Once in a while it takes a bit longer for delivery because they're so busy but not often. Wonton soup is amazing! The rest of their menu is fantastic, not greasy like other places.

So I ordered a shrimp roll from this Chinese store on the phone and when I come, I give her $20 and I asked her for the price because some Chinese stores be trying to get me all the time for some reason I don’t know if it’s just me or with anyone else. So she gives me a different price from the menu. The menu says 1.35 She says it’s 1.75 so I am about tired of this and I say never mind I don’t want it give me my money back. She is still holding onto my $20 and says no I’m not giving you your money back because I already made it. So she doesn’t want to give me my money back at all. She is still holding onto the 20. At least she could have gave me back my change from the eggroll, so I called the cops and when they come she gives me The money, but still charges me for the eggroll telling the cops that she’s not going to give me my money. So the police officer asked her why on the menu it says a different price and she’s charging me extra and she says because of Covid. So with the change, she gave me a five dollar bill that looks like a fake five dollar bill so the police officer ask her to give me a different five dollar bill and the Chinese lady gives us a problem. So I just left because I really didn’t have time to sit there and go back-and-forth and make a big deal out of it. I’m just leaving this review to let you guys know please make sure you guys ask for your price before you go there and be mindful on how much they are charging you because these Chinese stores are getting people now, they are robbing people. Every cent count. I don’t care if it’s 45 cent that’s 45 cent extra for each person that comes in

This place use to have better quality food now it seems like the quality of the food has declined and the prices have went through the roof. I also noticed that she changes the prices from time to time and always says food is high. I called 5 other Chinese restaurants and all of them had cheaper prices even in the far northeast Philly. This place is a rip off and not worth the trouble of placing an order from there. And FYI THEY NEVER GIVE YOU YOUR TOTAL THEY GO STRAIGHT FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO HMMMMMM 👎
