About Ho Ho Chinese Food
Welcome to Ho Ho Chinese Food, a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, situated at 3511 Madison St in Riverside, California. This introduction aims to provide a detailed overview of what Ho Ho Chinese Food offers to the local community, based on the available customer reviews. We will explore aspects such as the environment, services, features of their cuisine, and any indications of promotional highlights or popular items.
Environment:
The provided customer reviews offer limited information about the physical environment of Ho Ho Chinese Food. One reviewer mentioned a positive interaction with a staff member, noting she was "very busy" but "handled herself well," and also described her as "really cute." While this doesn't directly describe the decor or ambiance, it suggests a potentially bustling atmosphere where staff are kept occupied. Another reviewer simply exclaimed "Rock on Ho ho!" which could imply a positive and perhaps energetic vibe, though it is not definitive. The third review mentioned a friendly staff member, which contributes to a positive impression of the service environment, but not necessarily the physical surroundings.
Without more specific details, it is challenging to accurately describe the environment. It is common for Chinese restaurants to offer a casual and welcoming setting for dine-in customers, while also efficiently handling takeout orders. The level of formality, decor, and seating arrangements are not mentioned in the reviews, so local users may want to consider this when deciding whether to dine in or opt for takeout. Further information about the environment might be gleaned from online searches for images of the restaurant or additional reviews that might describe the interior or exterior.
Services:
Based on the nature of a Chinese restaurant and the comments in the reviews, it can be inferred that Ho Ho Chinese Food likely offers both takeout and dine-in services. One reviewer picked up a "two item combo," suggesting takeout is a readily available option. The mention of enjoying "our favorite items" implies that customers have the choice to select specific dishes, which is typical for both takeout and dine-in. While delivery service is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, it is a common offering for many restaurants today. Local users interested in delivery should contact Ho Ho Chinese Food directly to inquire about its availability, potential delivery radius, and any associated fees or minimum order requirements.
The positive feedback regarding the friendliness of the staff, with one reviewer specifically mentioning "the lady that helped us was friendly," indicates a focus on customer service. Even the busy staff member was noted for handling herself well, suggesting efficiency and professionalism despite being occupied. This positive aspect of service can significantly enhance the overall customer experience, whether dining in or picking up an order.
Features:
The customer reviews highlight several features of Ho Ho Chinese Food, particularly regarding their menu and the quality of certain dishes. One reviewer specifically mentioned enjoying a "two item combo" of "orange chicken and barbecue pork all lo mein." While they noted that some of the food wasn't as hot as they would have preferred initially, they also stated that the pieces that were hot were "absolutely delicious." This suggests that the flavor profile of these dishes is well-received, and reheating improved the experience for the customer. This review also points to the availability of combo meals, allowing customers to sample multiple items.
Another reviewer explicitly listed their "favorite items" as "coconut shrimp, orange chicken, and broccoli beef," along with "fried rice and lo mein noodles." This indicates that these are popular and well-regarded dishes at Ho Ho Chinese Food. The mention of specific dishes allows potential customers to get an idea of the variety and types of Cantonese-style cuisine offered. Coconut shrimp is a less common offering in some Chinese restaurants, suggesting it might be a specialty or a particularly well-prepared item here. The consistent positive mention of orange chicken across both detailed reviews suggests it is a standout dish.
The availability of "fried rice and lo mein noodles" as sides or main dishes is also a typical feature of Chinese restaurants, and their inclusion in a list of favorites indicates they are likely prepared to a satisfying standard at Ho Ho Chinese Food.
The phrase "Rock on Ho ho!" while brief, could also be interpreted as a positive endorsement of the food quality and overall satisfaction of the customer.
Based on these reviews, key features of Ho Ho Chinese Food include a diverse menu with popular items like orange chicken, coconut shrimp, and broccoli beef, along with standard favorites like lo mein and fried rice. They also offer combo meals. While one reviewer noted an issue with the food not being sufficiently hot upon initial serving, the taste was still highly praised, and reheating resolved the issue for that customer.
Promotional Information:
The provided customer reviews do not contain any explicit promotional offers, discounts, or special deals. However, the positive word-of-mouth generated by satisfied customers can be seen as an implicit form of promotion. The repeated praise for the deliciousness of the food, particularly the orange chicken and the overall satisfaction with favorite items, serves to attract new customers.
The mention of combo meals could also be considered a form of value offering, allowing customers to try a combination of dishes at potentially a more economical price than ordering each item separately. To learn about any specific promotions, such as lunch specials, family deals, or discounts for certain ordering methods (e.g., online orders), local users are encouraged to contact Ho Ho Chinese Food directly at (951) 637-2411 or +1 951-637-2411. They may also have a physical menu available at the restaurant that outlines any special offers.
The strong recommendation from one reviewer who stated, "recommend this place I will be back for sure," is a powerful endorsement that acts as a positive promotion for the restaurant within the local community.

Today I had a two item combo orange chicken and barbecue pork all lo mein I would give it five stars but my lo mein was not real hot and same with my orange chicken but I did get a couple pieces that were really hot and they were absolutely delicious I only eat half anyway so I’m gonna reheat it tomorrow and put it all together and it’s gonna be freaking killer The girl was very busy she handled herself well not to mention she’s really cute I wish I was younger recommend this place I will be back for sure Rock on Ho ho! G
The food is delicious. We got our favorite items including...coconut shrimp, orange chicken, and broccoli beef. Along with fried rice and lo mein noodles. The lady that helped us was friendly.
Everyone was right, huge portions for a good price. If you are looking to stuff your gut you have come to the right place. Only thing off-putting was the vegetable egg roll. The middle was cold. Not like luke-warm...actually refrigerator-cold. Maybe they popped them out of the fridge, rolled the outside on the flat top, then stuck them under the heat lamp and hoped for the best. As a holder of a food-handlers card... The food is in the danger-zone AF. If you are one of those people who can leave pizza on the stove overnight, eat it in the morning, and not get sick, this place is for you. I am, so I'll be back.
This place has very good and fresh food. I was craving shrimp fried rice and they have the best in town. It is very reasonably priced. Very few restaurants are now a days.
Got a two item combo! So good huge portion. Definitely good price for yummy food!!
