Automatic gratuity of 16% added regardless of party size. This means you're pretty much ignored whenever you need anything. We never even had our teapot refreshed with hot water. Dim sum is old and has been reheated numerous times. We had to send a dish back and they didn't even offer to send out a new one...we think because there was nothing to send out. Dumplings all stuck together and not fresh either. Dishes were...strange. Thought we were ordering fish slices. Turned out it was crunchy, reconstituted dried fish with mah la (mouth numbing powder). It was not edible. Beef stew dish was slimey and had been reheated many times. 3 dishes plus a few dim sum items = $145 for 2 people. Took forever for someone to make eye contact to settle the bill. Will NOT be back!

Authentic dim sum experience, frequented by local families and large groups. The Garden side is the same as the next door, bigger restaurants but with smaller parties. Standard menu of traditional full plate dishes like lobster chow mein, congee, cha siu meats (pork, duck, squab), but we came here for the dim sum. No push carts around but service is pretty fast as long as there's no long line waiting for tables. Would rec the siu mai, dumplings, rice noodles.

We had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! We booked a private room for our dinner, and it was a delightful treat. The food was exceptional, especially the seafood selection—king crab, lobster, scallops, and everything was incredibly delicious. The flavors were top-notch, and each dish was a true culinary delight. The service was excellent, and the staff made sure we were well taken care of all 18 of us throughout the evening. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, enhancing the overall dining experience. The oceanfront view is fantastic and you can watch the plane take off and land right there. To top it all off, we had a blast with karaoke! It was such a fun addition to our meal, making the evening even more memorable. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy fantastic food, impeccable service, and a great time. It’s a perfect place to savor delectable seafood dishes and have a fun-filled dining experience with friends or family.

Location is gorgeous of this restaurant. It is great to watch air planes landing and taking off from SFO. Another thing I like it is you can Karaoke in their room. There is a minimum consumption of course. Their Karaoke equipment is one of the best. Even kids have fun there. We order mini hot pot that day. Every one has their own pot and choice of soup. The ingredients are fresh but the soup base is a little plain. We decide to come back next time and order their dishes and see if they are even better.

We came over to the hot pot side of HL Peninsula "Garden" and got our choice of tables at 11am for dim sum. HL Peninsula "Pearl" next door is the busier side. Note the tables on this side have the hot plate facilities. If you are like me, with long legs, you will be constantly bumping your thighs on the low hanging table due to the hidden hot pot bump on the table. We started with the crispy HK seafood pan fried noodles $23. It came drenched in gravy. The chef ruined this dish. Although it came with premium ingredients, the dish is called "crispy" noodles not "soggy" noodles. Why pan fry it in the first place when the gravy will negates the rich wok smokey flavor of the burnt ends? Rookie mistake. It is supposed to be soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. As for the other dim sums, they were fine - shrimp dumplings $7.80, abalone siu mai $13.80, stick rice chicken $7.80, spareribs $6.80, chicken feet $7.80 and chiu chow dumpling $6.80. Supposedly, there's a mandatory service fee. When I checked my receipt, it was not applied. I had to wave over the host and ask about it. Somehow it was not applied and I'm glad I checked. I'm not the type of customer that stiffs the service staff. Service was excellent with awesome views of the bay on a nice day.
