Good - The service is really good - this is the first place that serves you XLB onto your spoon - Nice staff, let us celebrate his birthday and gave us a sparkler - Great food, I liked the honey walnut prawns, the fried noodles, the Tamago tofu a lot - Cozy homey ambiance. - Decently priced for 6 people! Good value Bad - The table wasn’t ready until 15 min after the reservation time Overall this was such a good experience I’d come again!
Delicious food, beautifully presented, with both traditional dishes (beef with bitter melon, walnut prawns, Peking duck) and interesting house variations (coffee glazed pork ribs, Chilean sea bass). Very attentive and friendly staff and quick service.
A wonderful experience here when we were looking for dining near our hotel after a busy day. Service was welcoming and attentive in a way that was personalized even on a busy house. Food: excellent, understated, perfectly prepared by skilled chef’s cooking with intention to the utmost product. Can’t wait to be back to try more of their menu items. Thank you for giving us a great meal.
HK Lounge bistro is an upscale dim sum restaurant in San Francisco. The restaurant is a bit small, so I recommend reservations for large parties. I went both in the afternoon and evening to try their dim sum and dinner menu. Their dim sum menu has all the traditional dishes. Their hargow and cheung fun was soft and fresh. The baked buns were savory and sweet. Everything came out fairly fast and was fresh and delicious. I visited another time during dinner and got the steamed chilean seabass with tofu. The tofu and seabass were soft topped with plenty black bean sauce. We also got the glazed coffee berkshire pork ribs. The glazed coffee ribs were a bit too sweet for my taste and were okay. The servers were friendly and checked on us quite often. Overall, HK Lounge Bistro was one of my favorite dim sum/Chinese restaurants in San Francisco, and they have a variety of different dishes to choose from.
Upscale dim sum experience with extremely authentic flavors and dishes. Genuinely, the staff were kind enough to deliver dishes, comment on the ingredients and flavors, and prepare the table setting for eating such as placing and garnishing the first soup dumpling. Although the price was more expensive, it equated to the clean cut atmosphere with little volume to disturb any conversations. The soup dumplings and the duck were my favorite menu items. I’d argue better for dine-in for the experience. Limited GF options if any at all.
