Himalayan Bistro Oceanside

The space was in an average strip mall and nothing fancy but the staff were outstanding! The appetizers were excellent ( samosas, pakora). My curry was solid but the chow mein was delicious! The naan was great. Everyone else loved there meal. Warning…Watch the spice levels! They have some crazy levels

Fantastic food! We ordered Saag Paneer, Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Cilantro Naan and a Masala Chai. Everything was amazing. The food came out in just a few minutes. The Chicken Tandoori was cooked in a clay pot, and came out extremely fresh and steaming. The restaurant was very clean and service was great. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant has some of the best indian food i’ve ever had in my life. Their chicken curry and chicken vindaloo are next level and incredibly fresh, tasty, and flavorful. All of that, and they have $15 lunch special where you can pick 2 entrees and get rice and naan. I can’t stop coming here!!

Excellent food. Every dish was perfectly made and I'm very happy we decided to try it out. Their butter chicken was the best I've had, even over homemade. One suggestion for staff: the booth seats are slightly too far away from the table, making it awkward to eat. If they were each 2-4 inches closer, it would make the issue much better.

Great Food!!! From Nepal and India. First visit. Friend and I had lunch specials. About $14-15 each. Family-owned restaurant. Very friendly owner and server who both interacted with us to answer our questions and make suggestions. Open, spacious dining area is a little bland, but it’s a new restaurant and growing. Nobody there at noon on a Thursday, but it soon picked up I was glad to see. Menu was clear and easy to read. I appreciate the availability of meatless dishes. I chose a meatless dish, and my friend chose one with chicken. There is lots of competition for diners in that area, and parking can get tight at dinner time. Overall, the Himalayan Bistro is a restaurant I’ll visit again for a spicy, meatless meal. Try it!!!
