The focus seems to be primarily on the quality and variety of the food offered.
In terms of services, Highland Noodles operates as a dine-in restaurant, providing a menu with a wide range of options to be enjoyed on-site. The mention of a friend having "put some money down in account here for a discount" suggests that Highland Noodles might offer loyalty programs or prepaid account options for regular customers, though specific details are lacking. A key feature of Highland Noodles is the diverse and flavorful menu, which includes a variety of noodle dishes, skewers, and unique appetizers. Several dishes have received high praise from customers. The "spicy lamb skewers" are noted for being both spicy and flavorful, appealing to those who enjoy a bit of heat. The "pancakes with green onion beef" are also recommended, with the pancakes described as crispy, offering a delightful textural contrast to the savory beef filling.
For noodle enthusiasts, Highland Noodles offers both "Dan Dan Noodles" and "braised beef noodles," both of which were described as "good" and contributing to an overall "very satisfying meal." These are classic noodle dishes with distinct regional flavors, suggesting that Highland Noodles provides a range of noodle preparations to cater to different preferences.
Beyond the main noodle dishes and skewers, Highland Noodles also boasts a "large selection of snacks," including XLB (xiao long bao), dumplings, and beef pancake. One reviewer tried the "pan-fried buns," describing them as "alright" with a crispy exterior but noting a lack of soup inside and a "so-so" meat filling. This honest feedback helps set expectations for the variety of snack options available.
The "cumin lamb skewers" are highlighted as a filling appetizer, with one order containing two skewers generously seasoned with chili powder. This suggests a flavorful and substantial start to a meal, perfect for sharing or as a satisfying individual snack.
A shared soup was described as a "perfect light starter" with a "very good" portion size, enough for about eight bowls. While the specific type of soup was not mentioned, this indicates that Highland Noodles also offers comforting soup options that are ideal for sharing.
Among the highly recommended dishes is the "spicy tofu and preserved egg." One reviewer "cannot gush enough about this dish," emphasizing that it is not a standard thousand-year-old egg dish. It is described as well-seasoned and spicy, featuring two types of preserved egg, making it a standout favorite. This Sichuan-inspired dish showcases the restaurant's ability to offer unique and flavorful appetizers.
The "crispy fish with tomato sauce" also received high praise for being "delicious" and offered at a very competitive price. This suggests that Highland Noodles provides well-prepared seafood options that are also budget-friendly.
Another unique offering is the "dry chicken noodles in brown gravy sauce." This is described as a large dish featuring long, pulled noodles, and the provision of scissors indicates the substantial and perhaps hand-pulled nature of these noodles, adding to the authenticity and experience of the dish.
The mention of a friend having a prepaid account for a discount suggests that Highland Noodles might have promotional offers or loyalty programs available to their customers. Local users interested in potential discounts or special deals should inquire directly with the restaurant about any such programs.

A friend recommended this place a while back and we decided to try it out. The food does not disappoint. The spicy lamp skewers are spicy, but flavorful. The pancakes with green onion beef are good. The pancakes are crispy. The Dan Dan Noodles and braised beef noodles are good too. Very satisfying meal overall. 😊
I came here because my friend had put some money down in account here for a discount, which you can use towards food but not tip or gift cards, obviously. We didn’t order try any of the beef noodle soups they were known for because there were much more interesting things to order. They have a large selection of snacks, like XLB, dumplings, beef pancake and the like. We tried the pan-fried buns and they were alright. Crispy but there was not enough soup inside and the meat filling was so-so. We also got cumin lamb skewers as an appetizer. One order has two skewers, very filling and with lots of chili powder. We ordered one soup to share and it was the perfect light starter. The portion was very good too. There is enough for about 8 bowls of soup. Recommended dishes: -spicy tofu and preserved egg: I cannot gush enough about this dish. This isn’t your standard thousand year old egg dish with some pork sung on top. It is well-seasoned, spicy 🌶️ to cut into some of that flavor that turns some people off. There are two types of preserved egg. Easily our favorite of the night, hands down. -crispy fish with tomato sauce. It was delicious and the price was the cheapest I have seen recently. -dry chicken noodles in brown gravy sauce. This is a large dish and there are scissors to cut the ever so long pulled noodles.
I had a wide noodles craving. Got it fulfilled here. Got their spicy beef noodle soup. Spice was on point. Hit the back of the throat and burn the lips. Great flavor. Noodles were fantastic. Meat taste great. Portion was large. The soup dumplings and shu mai took forever to come. I was almost done with my noodle soup before the two dishes came. Small portion and expensive but the two dishes tasted decent. Edit: few days later I received an advertisement through text from Highland. You use your phone to order at the restaurant. While you can stop the text easily it is still annoying I got it. Overall, satisfied with my meal but annoyed by the text ad.

Review updates: The combo options were not longer available. But there are other delicious options that definitely worth to try! I ordered knife cutting noddles a couple of weeks ago. And it’s super delicious!! It’s the first time I’ve the real fresh knife cutting noddles in the Bay Area! Highly recommend!! Prior reviewed: It’s super great deal for the combo options!! They offer an appetizer, a big portion of noodle, and a dessert for only about $20 !!!! I can’t find any other place has such a great deal!! And the foods here are very delicious!! Very fresh and tasty. I like the beef thin and with good taste, very gander and not too old to bite. The white wood ear soup is very soft and not too sweet! It’s the best I’ve ever have in the Bay Area!! And the service here is also very good. Highly recommend!
