About Hey Noodles
Hey Noodles, located at 478 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M5T 1G9, Canada, is a Chinese restaurant that has garnered a reputation for being "super cheap and incredibly yummy." You can contact them at (647) 352-8999 or +1 647-352-8999.
A highlight of Hey Noodles is their noodle soups, particularly noted for their customizable spice and numbing levels. While there is currently only one vegetarian soup option, it is well-loved by those who order it. Meat lovers will also find options to their liking, with one reviewer's partner "absolutely loving" their meat soup.
The restaurant is also praised for its friendly staff, with customers describing the interactions as a "pleasant experience." The service is generally well-regarded, and the staff are accommodating, even to solo diners.
Appetizers like the fungus in spicy sauce are described as "absolutely delicious," and there is an appreciated variety of vegetarian appetizers available. The noodles themselves are considered "good," and it's possible to eat for under $20, making it a very affordable option.
Hey Noodles can get quite busy during peak hours, but the crowd usually thins out by 7:30 or 8 PM. This suggests it's a popular spot, especially with university students, with one customer being a weekly visitor. While the vegetarian soup selection is currently limited, the existing option is highly recommended, and there is a desire for more variety in the future.
In summary, Hey Noodles offers tasty and affordable Chinese noodle dishes with customizable spice levels. The friendly service and delicious food, especially the spicy options and vegetarian appetizers, make it a recommended spot in downtown Toronto. Be aware that it can get busy during peak times.

This place is awesome! It’s super cheap and incredibly yummy. I went twice and ordered the vegetarian soup — there’s only one option to choose from, but I love how the spice and numbing levels are customizable. The girls who work there are very friendly, and it’s such a pleasant experience interacting with them. As for the food, I ordered the fungus in spicy sauce both times, and it was absolutely delicious. I also appreciate the variety of vegetarian appetizers available. My partner got a meat soup, and they absolutely loved it. I’ll definitely be coming back for the hot vegetarian soups, though I’d really appreciate more variety in vegetarian soup options.
I came here literally weekly throughout university. The noodles are good, you can eat for under $20, and they're just as spicy as I like them. The staff were always really nice and accommodating to lone diners. It gets really busy in peak hours, but it's usually calmed down by 7.30 or 8, if that matters to you. I'd really reccomend trying it!
Ever since my trip to China, I’ve been on the hunt to find the best Chongqing noodles here in Toronto, and I can’t say that this spot did the dish justice. There were some things that were similar, but it didn’t quite nail it for me. It was missing key ingredients that come in the traditional version, and broth felt a bit watered down. Noodles were also slightly overcooked. Dumplings were great, packed with meat and served with the classic vinegar. Still a solid meal, very affordable but not exactly authentic I’d say.
I love noodles and I love the great variety that Hey Noodles offers. They offer discounts for corporate events and Group outings. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the vibe is very nice. For extra $2 on weekdays, you can order combos (adding an appetizer/dessert and a drink). We ordered “Black Fungus” and “Braised Bean Curd” for appetizer, “Minced Meat Pork with Special Hot Peppers Xiao Mian”, “Chicken and Mushroom Noodles” and “Salty Crispy Chicken with Sweet Potato Noodles” for main, and “Brown Sugar Iced Jelly” for dessert. You can choose between egg noodles, rice noodles and sweet potato noodles. You can also choose the level of spice and numbness of your meal; which is so fun. We really enjoyed our noodles and we even had leftovers to enjoy later.
This is my favourite place for food and service, it’s so good, the food is so great, I tried to eat in other restaurants like this, sometimes I have tried other noodle restaurants but none compares to hey noodles, its flavor, ingredients, especially the friendly service that always has, it is definitely the best.
