Great space south of Market to grab authentic spicy Chinese food. From the egg rolls and meat pies, hot and sour soup, or special al la carte dishes, it is just special. Try the spicy eggplant or tofu for sure, add either a beef or shrimp plate too!

Here’s Henry’s Hunan is a family-owned gem that brings the authentic flavors of their hometown to life with their spicy signature dishes. We visited as a group of 16, including 5 kids, and were fortunate to get a table on a busy holiday weekend. For many of us, this was our first time trying traditional Chinese vegetarian food, and it did not disappoint. The green tea was incredibly soothing and paired perfectly with our meal. A truly classic San Francisco Chinese establishment. Try the fish and the green beans. And the dumplings taste like they were made fully by hand by someone’s Wai po, which to me is the mark of truly great food. The interior looks well kept but pretty old and very classic, with the old style plates and tea cups. I’ll definitely come again and try more of the menu :)

Well, I didn't fully understand what we ordered, but it is a very good place if you like real Chinese food. My group had 2 Chinese people and they were delighted with the food and the place. Be careful with ordering spicy food, as it might be TOO spicy! Try to order some sauce on the side and try it. Good for vegetarians as well, as there are many options
