About Henry's Chinese Cafe

Welcome to Henry's Chinese Cafe, a Chinese restaurant situated at 175 Main St #8117 in Edwards, Colorado. Located within the Riverwalk area, Henry's Chinese Cafe operates under the platform category of Chinese Restaurants, aiming to serve the local community and visitors with a variety of Chinese culinary offerings. For inquiries or to place an order, they can be contacted at (970) 926-3050 or via mobile at +1 970-926-3050.

Based on the limited customer feedback available online, the environment and services at Henry's Chinese Cafe appear to have experienced some fluctuations in customer perception over time. One review suggests that "years ago, this place was great," indicating a potentially positive history within the community. However, more recent experiences paint a somewhat different picture. The same reviewer recounts a negative takeout experience where the order was significantly delayed beyond the quoted time, and the customer service was described as "terrible." Furthermore, the food was deemed "mediocre at best," leading to considerable disappointment.

Adding to these concerns, the reviewer also details a subsequent attempt to dine in, during which they were informed that only takeout was being offered, despite seeing other patrons seated and eating inside. This inconsistency between the sign outside and the information provided by staff raises questions about the restaurant's current operational policies regarding dine-in service. This experience led the customer to choose an alternative establishment and express a lack of intent to return to Henry's Chinese Cafe, even suggesting a drive to a different town for a better experience at another Chinese restaurant.

In contrast, another review offers a much more positive perspective, describing a "fantastic meal" with "amazing" food and employees. This reviewer specifically enjoyed the orange chicken and chicken lo mein and expressed a definite intention to return the following week. This stark contrast in feedback suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality of food and service experienced by different customers, or perhaps a change in standards over time as alluded to by the first reviewer.

Regarding the features of Henry's Chinese Cafe, the limited reviews provide some insight into their menu offerings. The mention of orange chicken and chicken lo mein indicates that they serve popular American-Chinese dishes. The negative review's description of mediocre takeout suggests a potential lack of distinctiveness or high quality in their preparation. The historical positive comment hints at a time when their food was considered "great," implying that they may have offered well-received dishes in the past.

Given the conflicting feedback, it is challenging to definitively outline the current features of Henry's Chinese Cafe. While they seemingly offer standard American-Chinese cuisine, the quality appears to be inconsistent based on these two recent reviews. Potential customers should be aware of this variability in experiences when considering their options.

Promotional information for Henry's Chinese Cafe is not included in the provided reviews. It is common for restaurants to offer lunch specials, discounts, or other promotions to attract and retain customers. To obtain information about any current special offers or deals at Henry's Chinese Cafe, it would be best to check their website (if they have one), inquire directly by phone, or look for any local advertisements they might be running in the Edwards area.

In conclusion, Henry's Chinese Cafe in Edwards, CO, presents a somewhat ambiguous picture based on the available reviews. While there is a past indication of quality, recent experiences vary significantly. One customer reported poor takeout service, mediocre food, and inconsistent dine-in information, leading to a negative overall impression. Conversely, another customer described their meal as fantastic, praising both the food and the staff. This disparity suggests that the current quality of food and service at Henry's Chinese Cafe may be inconsistent or that different customers have varying expectations and experiences.

Prospective local users should consider these contrasting viewpoints when deciding whether to patronize Henry's Chinese Cafe. If convenient location within Riverwalk is a priority, it might be worth trying, but it would be prudent to manage expectations regarding the consistency of food and service. Seeking more recent reviews from other local diners might also provide a more up-to-date understanding of the current state of the restaurant. To learn about their menu in detail, current operating hours, and any potential promotions, contacting Henry's Chinese Cafe directly via phone is recommended.

If I could leave this place 0 stars I would. Years ago, this place was great! A little over a year ago, I started working in Riverwalk, we decided to order takeout for lunch. 30mins after ordering (giving the restaurant 10 extra minutes than they quoted) I went to pick up the order. When I got there I had to wait another 15 mins for the order. The customer service was terrible, and the food ended up tasting mediocre at best. We were super disappointed. It has taken me a year to try this place again. We walked in there today, seen several people sitting at tables (dinning in) only to be told that the 2 of us can order takeout because they were "not allowing" dine in. Well... the sign outside completely contradicted what we were told by the staff... none the less we went to Boardroom Deli (Delicious!! Great service) and will not be returning to Henry's. Eagle may be a drive but Gourmet China will ALWAYS be worth the trip for quality Chinese style food and great service.

I am currently dining here as I am writing this review. Let me start off by saying customer service is blunt and rude. We are a party of 8 and only 3 of us have our entrees. We have been waiting for 20 minutes for the other dishes. They gave us one plate of white rice for everyone to share, even though most of us asked for fried. I understand they are short staffed, but the ones working are rude and do not attend properly.. I will not dine in here again. Also, ordered CALAMARI. They gave us OCTOPUS. see pic. 😑

First time. Food tastes great. I ordered online. Made sure to say I needed napkins, utensils and a fortune cookie (because duh, who wants chinese food without their special fortune). My food was bagged on a front table ready for pick up, which was great. I got back to work, excited for my lunch to find no utensils, napkins or a cookie... my soup was egg drop rather than hot and sour and my sweet and sour chicken had no sweet and sour on it or on the side (I used the tiny one from my egg roll to dip chicken in and found a plastic knife to eat like a savage). I'm a sad panda :(
