One reviewer mentioned, "I would have loved if the restaurant opened up properly, it seems it is still under the impact of covid-19... I enjoyed it a lot last time when dine in was available." Authentic in every detail! I am impressed with the ingredients they have been able to gather, especially the tea tree mushrooms and Chinese peppers. The Dan Dan noodles were the best and most authentic I have had in several years in the US. Their menu is extensive and filled with classic Chinese dishes that are rare to find outside of China. This restaurant is a hidden gem!
I would have loved if the restaurant opened up properly, it seems it is still under the impact of covid-19, I enjoyed it a lot last time when dine in was available, now i just get to eat the awesome food out of plastic container. The staff is super good and very helpful. The food doesn’t require any convincing, it is authentic and worth every dollar. The menu is priced pretty good. Good updates but still is not open for dine in which is a big bust.
The boba milk tea was a disappointment. The food was pretty good but pricey. Dishes do not come with steamed rice either. You have to request it for $1 extra per serving. They allowed dine-in, but the place looked very cold and uninviting, so I took it to-go. I think they added an extra charge for getting it to-go because the numbers didn’t add up, but I didn’t get an itemized receipt.
I was very excited about another Chinese restaurant in the area, and 和 didn't let me down. They have authentic Xi'an food which is one of my favorite kind of Chinese food, and also try to provide food for people from different regions of China. They are very serious about their food and have a pretty high standard. If you are looking for American Chinese food like General Tso's Chicken, sorry, you won't have it there. But if you are looking for authentic Chinese food experience, this restaurant has the best Chinese food in the area. Period. Apart from the food, you will notice that the owner put a lot of heart into the store. You'll find a lot of interesting things here and you can see some from my photos. Give it a try. You'll love it.
The best Chinese restaurant nearby Penn State Harrisburg. Coming from Singapore which is rich in Chinese culture, most of the Chinese restaurants here in the US are really not good. This restaurant’s food blew me away with how good they were. It might be a bit costly, but you do almost always end up having extras and taking away the rest back home which is good. My only suggestion is that they could include some portion of rice with the curries.
