About Harvest Wonton Noodle

Harvest Wonton Noodle, situated at 22931 Hwy 99 in Edmonds, Washington, operates within the Chinese Restaurant category, focusing primarily on noodle-based dishes. Based on the available customer reviews, the dining experience at Harvest Wonton Noodle appears to be somewhat inconsistent, with some dishes receiving high praise while others have garnered significant disappointment. These reviews touch upon the quality and taste of specific menu items, as well as the service provided.

One review detailed a particularly negative experience from a group of four diners. According to this account, only one person in the group enjoyed their noodle soup, and even that enjoyment was rated at a modest 5 out of 10. The other three members of the party rated their noodle soups much lower, at 1/10, 3/10, and 4/10, indicating a significant level of dissatisfaction. A specific issue raised was that all the wontons in the noodle soups contained shrimp, which was unexpected and problematic for one member of the group who dislikes shrimp and would not have ordered the dish had they known. This lack of clear menu information regarding ingredients was a significant drawback for this diner.

Interestingly, the same group reported a much more positive experience with the beef chow fun, with everyone enjoying it and giving it a rating of 7-8 out of 10. This suggests that while the noodle soups may be inconsistent, other dishes on the menu, such as the beef chow fun, might be more reliable. The reviewer also mentioned that their group were not typically picky eaters and had never before encountered a restaurant where everyone had a bad meal, underscoring the severity of their disappointment with their experience at Harvest Wonton Noodle. Furthermore, there was a suspicion that monosodium glutamate (MSG) was used in the food, as one member of the party, who is sensitive to MSG, experienced a reaction similar to one they had previously at a restaurant known for using MSG. While the service was described as good, the reviewer stated that it did not compensate for the poor taste of the food, leading to a firm decision not to return to the restaurant.

In stark contrast, another reviewer had a highly positive experience, specifically praising the brisket/wonton noodle soup as "incredible." They lauded the tenderness of the beef and described the house-made wontons as "top tier." This reviewer, who considers beef noodle soup their "death row meal," found Harvest Wonton Noodle's version to be "really nice." Additionally, they found the spicy dumplings to be "super tasty" and noted that the prices at the restaurant were very reasonable. This overwhelmingly positive feedback led to their intention to become a frequent customer, indicating that for some, Harvest Wonton Noodle offers exceptional dishes at good value.

Considering these divergent reviews, the environment of Harvest Wonton Noodle is not explicitly described. However, the fact that it is referred to as a "noodle house" suggests a casual setting focused on its specialty dishes. Noodle restaurants typically prioritize efficiency and a comfortable atmosphere for enjoying a quick and satisfying meal. Without further details, it's difficult to paint a more specific picture of the ambiance.

The service at Harvest Wonton Noodle received mixed feedback. One group found the service to be good, even though it couldn't salvage their overall negative dining experience due to the food quality. The other reviewer, who had a positive experience with the food, did not explicitly comment on the service, but their intention to return often implies that the service was at least satisfactory. This suggests that while the service might be generally acceptable, it may not be consistently exceptional enough to overcome significant issues with the food for all customers.

The key feature of Harvest Wonton Noodle is its focus on noodle dishes, particularly wonton noodle soup. The brisket/wonton noodle soup appears to be a standout item for some, praised for its tender beef and top-tier wontons. The beef chow fun also received positive feedback from one group. However, the inconsistent quality of the regular wonton noodle soup, with unexpected ingredients like shrimp and overall poor taste reported by others, is a significant concern. The spicy dumplings are another menu item that has been positively reviewed. The reasonable prices mentioned by one reviewer could be considered a feature, offering good value for those who enjoy the food.

No promotional information is included in the provided customer reviews. Local users interested in any special offers or promotions at Harvest Wonton Noodle would need to contact the restaurant directly or check their website or local listings, if available.

In conclusion, Harvest Wonton Noodle in Edmonds, WA, is a Chinese restaurant specializing in noodle dishes, with the brisket/wonton noodle soup and beef chow fun receiving positive mentions. However, there are significant concerns regarding the quality and consistency of other noodle soups, particularly the unexpected presence of shrimp in the wontons and overall poor taste reported by some customers. The service was described as good by one group, but this did not outweigh their dissatisfaction with the food. Prices were noted as reasonable by a satisfied customer. Local users considering Harvest Wonton Noodle should be aware of the mixed reviews and might want to inquire about ingredients and preparation methods for specific dishes before ordering. The restaurant appears to have the potential to deliver excellent noodle dishes, but consistency seems to be an area that needs improvement.

Very disappointed with google reviews. Came with a group of 4 and only 1 person enjoyed their noodle soup, and when I say enjoyed, that’s a 5/10 rating. Other reviews were 1/10, 3/10, and 4/10. The wontons all had shrimp in them, which was unexpected. One from our party dislikes shrimp and wouldn’t have ordered if they had known there was shrimp in the dish. Everyone enjoyed the beef chow fun, giving it a 7-8/10. We are not super picky eaters, and have never come to a restaurant and had a bad meal. This was a first. I think they put MSG in the food because my boyfriend gets a bad reaction to MSG, and the only other time this has happened was at PF Changs. Service was good but it doesn’t make up for the taste of the food. Would not return.

The brisket/wonton noodle soup is incredible. Super tender beef and the house made wontons are top tier. Beef noodle soup is my death row meal and these guys did a really nice version. The spicy dumplings were also super tasty and the prices here are very reasonable. Will be back often.

It was our first time stopping in for dinner. The food was amazing we each got a fried wonton to try, highly recommend them. I got the beef brisket wonton noodles soup with egg noodles and it was fantastic. My husband got the pumpkin congee with a preserved egg. They had some amazing chili oil also that you can dip things in or add to your dish. Don't hesitate check them out! Service was so nice and the owners were so sweet.

Looking for your next authentic Chinese spot? Of course you are. Look no further than Harvest Wonton Noodle, a true hidden gem in the Edmonds area serving up homestyle Hong Kong fare with a wide-ranging and equally delicious menu. My personal favorites are the fried curry wontons (unlike anything I've ever had before, perfectly crispy with a satisfying kick), and the pork and preserved egg congee (if you've slept on congee -- may your first mind-blowing experience be at Harvest). But of course, everything is good so you'll just have to be back multiple times. If for some reason you're not salivating at the menu by now, come for the incredibly warm and inviting atmosphere created by the Ko family who run the intimate family business as if out of their own home, where everyone is an honored guest. I hope everyone in the area or out (accessible by multiple modes of transportation, so no excuses,) will get to experience the simplistic joy of a satisfyingly hearty meal in a cozy restaurant with excellent service -- exemplifying Harvest's growing reputation around here as a true labor of love.

The food is really good! I loved the homey comfy vibes of this place! The food is reasonably priced with big portions, most of the food is around 14 bucks. Definitely recommended 10/10 👍
