As a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, Harold's Chop Suey aims to provide a taste of authentic Chinese flavors to the community. With a phone number of (314) 361-6043 and a mobile contact at +1 314-361-6043, we are easily reachable for inquiries and orders.

Based on available information, Harold's Chop Suey has been serving the St. Louis area for some time, and customer experiences appear to be varied. One recent review highlights the exceptional quality and authenticity of the Chop Suey dish. The customer specifically mentioned the food as "amazingly good and authentic," indicating a potential strength in traditional Chinese cooking. This positive feedback suggests that Harold's Chop Suey may excel in preparing classic dishes that resonate with those seeking genuine flavors.

However, the same review also brings to light a potential concern regarding the dining environment and customer safety. The reviewer, a smaller woman dining alone, reported feeling uncomfortable due to the behavior of a group of men who entered the premises. While this is an isolated incident reported in the available feedback, it's an aspect that potential diners might consider. On a positive note, the reviewer commended the older staff member who served her, describing him as "very sweet" and noting his attentiveness to her discomfort by prioritizing her order. This suggests that the service provided by some staff members is commendable and focused on customer well-being.

In contrast to the positive experience with the Chop Suey, another review presents a significantly different perspective. This customer expressed disappointment with the food quality, stating that it "used to be good" but is "not anymore." They claimed to have tried the restaurant twice recently, resulting in them throwing the food out on both occasions. This strongly negative feedback raises concerns about consistency in food quality and suggests that recent experiences may not have met previous standards. Potential customers should be aware of this contrasting opinion when considering Harold's Chop Suey.

Considering these mixed reviews, it's challenging to form a definitive overall picture of the current state of Harold's Chop Suey. The positive feedback regarding the authenticity and taste of the Chop Suey is encouraging, particularly for those seeking traditional Chinese flavors. The negative review concerning a decline in food quality is a point of caution that potential diners should acknowledge.

Regarding the environment of Harold's Chop Suey, the available information provides limited details beyond the incident reported by one customer. The review suggests a casual setting where interactions between customers can occur, sometimes leading to discomfort for individuals. Without further information, it's difficult to assess the general ambiance and typical dining experience. It would be beneficial to have more insights into the restaurant's decor, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere to provide a comprehensive description.

In terms of services, Harold's Chop Suey likely offers standard Chinese restaurant services such as dine-in and takeout. The positive mention of the staff member's attentiveness suggests a degree of customer service focus, at least in some instances. To gain a clearer understanding of their services, it would be helpful to know if they offer delivery, catering, or have specific options for dietary restrictions. The phone numbers provided indicate a means to place orders and inquire about these services directly.

As for features that might distinguish Harold's Chop Suey, the positive review highlights the "authentic" nature of their Chop Suey. This suggests that they may specialize in traditional Chinese dishes prepared with authentic recipes and ingredients. If this authenticity extends to other items on their menu, it could be a significant draw for customers seeking a genuine Chinese culinary experience. However, the contrasting negative review implies that this quality might not be consistent across all dishes or over time.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Harold's Chop Suey. It would be advisable to contact the restaurant directly at (314) 361-6043 or +1 314-361-6043 to inquire about any ongoing specials, discounts, or loyalty programs they might offer. Local residents interested in trying Harold's Chop Suey could also check online platforms or local community boards for any recent promotions or updated reviews.

In conclusion, Harold's Chop Suey is a Chinese restaurant located at 1122 Union Blvd in St. Louis. While one customer praised the "amazingly good and authentic" Chop Suey and the kindness of a staff member, another recent experience indicated a significant decline in food quality. The dining environment, based on one review, might occasionally present discomfort for solo diners. Potential customers are encouraged to consider these varied experiences and perhaps try the restaurant for themselves to form their own opinion. Contacting Harold's Chop Suey directly for the most up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any current promotions is recommended.

Got the Chop Suey.... Was amazingly good and authentic. Waited about 45 min for my food and honestly didn't feel very safe. A bunch of guys came in and was joking around and eyeing me up and down. I AM a smaller woman and was alone. The older man who served me was very sweet tho. I think he could tell I was uncomfortable so gave everyone their orders first so they were cleared out when I left. And for that, I would gladly wait 45 min again. The food really was phenomenal

The Shrimp St Paul sandwich was made with powdered eggs. For the money I paid, they could have bought 2 dozen eggs. The sandwich was just ok and I was hungry and ate it. The shrimp fried rice was dry, had five shrimp in it, no bell peppers just onions. The clerk was very nice and friendly.

Y’all talking bout the best d*mn rice in the city! Y’all I would not lie to you! I drive 30 mins for these boxes of goodness. True authentic flavor is absolutely amazing. Surprisingly on a Friday they weren’t as busy as normal but the service is always quick. I would suggest calling ahead if you don’t wanna wait cause your food will be made fresh. I’m actually headed back down there for LoMein for another day in a row. Prices are definitely fair we got all this plus a egg roll and two Pepsi’s for $20! Yes nobody does it like Stl!

This place is terrible. I ordered it off of DoorDash around 9 right before closing and they just threw a random order in the bag all cracked up messy and cold to give to my dasher. It was the wrong order first and secondly it was a mess! Then when I called them about actually getting my order, they tell me it has nothing to do with them.Never comn here again bro.
