I visited Harana Market just after peak fall foliage, and I’m certain it would be a beautiful spot in any season, with its views overlooking Roundabout Creek. Dining here feels like you’re immersed in nature, which perfectly complements their exceptional Filipino cuisine. The three-stage cooked lechon kawali is among the best I’ve tasted, the bistek is outstanding, and the mango float cake is a must-try. I loved the food so much that I even ordered another lechon kawali to go—a testament to how delicious it is, especially considering I live near Woodside, Queens, the heart of Filipino food in metro New York. Though the staff isn’t all Filipino, they show a genuine appreciation for the cuisine, and I was impressed by their pronunciation of challenging Filipino words and their knowledge of each dish’s ingredients. This effort creates a true connection with the Filipino community in a what is a predominantly white area, bridging cultures in a respectful and authentic way. While some may find the prices a bit high, we’re in a post-COVID era where many things cost more. Beyond quality and taste, Harana Market offers a rare and much-needed glimpse into Filipino cuisine that’s worth every penny.

I went here for the first time last night and WOW was the food delicious!! I decided to go with the crispy pork belly chef special with garlic fried rice and it was absolutely incredible. My friend and boyfriend also completely enjoyed their meals and we are anxious to go back again! The service is also incredible, the staff is so helpful and they constantly check in with you to see if they can help you with anything 😊 It’s such a community oriented place and it feels incredible being able to support and frequent a restaurant that is so culturally active.

I have been waiting so long to finally visit Harana Market since I’ve moved to the area and I am happy to say it was worth the wait! We ordered all of the favorites (starred on the menu) plus the cantaloupe juice and corn on the cob from the specials menu. I definitely want to return to try something off the silog menu. The halo halo was so refreshing on the hot day we visited and I liked the additions that made it toasty and crunchier than I’ve had before!

Food was the best! However, it gets very busy very quickly so often times there’s quite a wait for the food and can be pretty loud since it’s a small place. Staff is super nice and very helpful! Make sure to clean up after yourselves (like Panera style). 100% recommend Halo Halo
