Happy You Chinese Restaurant

Best Chinese food in southeast Michigan. They are very nice and give good portions. Love there, Wonton Soup. They are the only one that use chicken as their meat. My family loves this place, they are very clean as well.

It’s not high end by any chance but the food is really good. The owners are so nice and always have a smile on their faces. It’s kind of expensive but I don’t mind. the honey walnut shrimp is my fave! it’s so much better than panda express!!

We had a power outage in the area, and this was the only Chinese open in Waterford. We came 30 minutes before closing, and the owners were very nice and went above and beyond for us. Being vegan, they made accommodations for me. I ordered the veggie lo mein, and the portion size was huge. The flavor was pleasant but could have used a little more garlic and spices. There were no dinner combination options that came with fried rice and egg roll or soup. I ate my fill, and had enough to last me for a late night snack and lunch the next day. My partner ordered either Sesame or General Tsau Chicken, and it came with white rice. He said the flavor was good and portion Very Generous. We both ordered veggie egg rolls a la carte and pop. The spring/ egg rolls were a bit too sweet, and the plum sauce was pale yellow instead of classic orange. I would not get those again. My boyfriend devoured the chicken dish and still had leftovers!!! The owners let us sit there and eat from the carry out containers, and told us to take our time. It was very nice and friendly. I later noticed that they had Tofu stir fries available which I overlooked. I think I would have been better off with one of those. Our total was over $30, like 34-37-- including the drinks. Usually we pay $20-36 dollars and we order combination plates. I would possibly order from them again but would specify preference for more garlic and spices for my vegan options. The fact that the owners were so nice and accommodating, letting us sit there and eat after closing, and having to cook my complicated Veg option after a long day tells me that they take pride in their restaurant, and would go above and beyond to accommodate any future modifications

Wanted to try this place out but after trying it I was extremely disappointed. The chicken breading was not crispy at all, the choice of sauce used was probably one of the worst I’ve had for General Tao’s and the rice tasted off. After rereading a lot of these reviews I cannot believe they are real reviews.

😡😡😡😡Placed an order she tells me 15 minutes I get there. I’m waiting 45 minutes for my food only for her to tell me they haven’t even started on it and that’s what happens when greedy restaurants like this Take a whole bunch of calls and orders and they can’t keep up with,if I didn’t ask “is my food ready”? She would’ve kept me there for an hour without considering the customers convenience, I told her to go ahead and cancel my order. She looks at me with a smart and says Yep no problem. She didn’t even bother to apologize for keeping me there. 45 minutes waiting. This place is seriously so unprofessional. I would rather drive an hour to have to give my money to a place that doesn’t even respect people and their time . This is a horrible place of business.
