Happy Wok

We ordered a family meal and were pleasantly surprised at how fast they had it ready. The food tastes wonderful! If you are dining in the place seems a little rough but the taste of the food has to make up for it. Definitely my favorite location.

My delivery was late which beyond the control of the delivery driver. When it got to my home, he was very apologetic and explained what happened. I appreciated the explanation. Happy Wok on E state Street is my only Chinese restaurant I go to!

Recently moved here a few months ago and today I been with my 2 year old daughter in the hospital due to asthma and been here since 4am this morning and decided to try food here. I ask my sister to go get me an egg fu young special , 2 egg rolls and a side of chicken fried rice and everything was nasty. The sauce was plan and the food smell funny. I ask for a refund and they didn’t give me one so I tried the food and it taste how it look nasty. I wasted 20 something dollars and still hungry. If you from “Chicago” do not buy.

Ordered ham fried rice. I have receipt to prove. Got combination rice. It had shrimp and I’m allergic. There were two pieces and my husband ate the shrimp. Happy wok would not give us what we originally ordered. We have been ordering here for 20 years and never had issues this bad.

Unfortunately I asked & paid for Extra extra onions in my combination fried rice and I didn't receive that. When I got home 6 miles from the restaurant and discovered the lack of extra extra onions I called the restaurant and they suggested I bring the food back so they could remake it I was tired & hungry I had to chop my own onions and add it. That was super disappointing! And the soy sauce was different I didn't like it.
