About Happy House

Happy House, located at 805 NW 12th St, Moore, OK 73160, USA, functions as a Chinese restaurant primarily serving the local community through takeout and a drive-thru service. As a Chinese restaurant, it offers a menu typical of American-Chinese cuisine, providing convenient meal options for those seeking quick and accessible Chinese food.

The environment at Happy House, based on the provided customer reviews, appears to be designed for efficiency, particularly for its drive-thru and takeout operations. While there's no explicit mention of a dine-in area or its specific ambiance, the focus on quick service through a drive-thru suggests a functional, rather than elaborate, setup. The primary interaction for most customers seems to be at the pick-up window. The limited information implies that the restaurant's environment is geared towards speed and convenience, typical of many fast-food or quick-service Asian eateries.

Service at Happy House receives mixed reviews. One customer specifically praised a "very nice lady at the drive through," indicating that positive customer interactions do occur. This suggests that some staff members are courteous and helpful, contributing to a pleasant service experience. However, other feedback points to significant issues with order accuracy and food quality control, which indirectly reflect on the overall service efficiency. For instance, an incorrect order (two shrimp lo mein instead of one pork and one shrimp lo mein) and serious concerns about food freshness and hygiene (mold in egg soup, hair in food) suggest lapses in operational processes and quality assurance. While the staff at the window may be friendly, the subsequent issues with the food itself can overshadow initial positive interactions.

Happy House's menu likely features a range of common American-Chinese dishes. From the reviews, we know that they offer:

  • Pork Lo Mein
  • Shrimp Lo Mein
  • Orange Chicken
  • Rice (fried rice likely)
  • Egg Rolls
  • Egg Drop Soup

While the egg rolls and rice were described as "good" by one reviewer, the positive aspects are overshadowed by significant criticisms regarding other dishes. The shrimp lo mein was reported to "smell nasty and old," leading to illness. The egg drop soup was shockingly found to have "mold on it." The orange chicken was described as tasting "burnt and almost like there was a chemical in the sauce." Furthermore, a customer reported finding "a hair in the food." These serious concerns about food quality, freshness, and hygiene are prominent features highlighted by customer experiences.

These issues represent significant drawbacks that would heavily influence a customer's decision to return. While the general intention of such a Chinese restaurant is to provide convenient and flavorful meals, the reported inconsistencies and serious quality control failures are critical. The presence of such issues would severely undermine the restaurant's ability to consistently deliver on the promise of good Chinese food. The convenience of a drive-thru is a positive feature, but it does not outweigh fundamental concerns about food safety and quality.

As for promotional information, the provided reviews do not offer any details regarding specific deals, discounts, or loyalty programs offered by Happy House. Restaurants of this nature often have combination platters, lunch specials, or family meal deals to attract customers, and these are typically communicated via in-store menus, flyers, or local advertising. Given the nature of the feedback, any potential promotions would need to be weighed against the significant concerns raised about food quality and hygiene. It is always recommended that potential customers directly contact the restaurant for any current specials or pricing information, using the provided phone numbers: (405) 793-0401 or +1 405-793-0401.

Happy House's operating hours would typically align with other fast-casual Chinese eateries, generally open for lunch and dinner service, likely seven days a week, from late morning to late evening (e.g., 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM). However, it is essential for patrons to be aware of the reported issues before placing an order. The convenience of its location at 805 NW 12th St in Moore and the availability of a drive-thru are undeniable advantages, but the described negative experiences related to food quality, freshness, and hygiene are critical considerations for potential customers. Given the severity of some of the complaints, potential patrons may wish to exercise caution or explore other options in the area when seeking Chinese cuisine.

I ordered orange chicken, rice and an egg roll. The only thing that was good was the egg roll unfortunately. The chicken tasted burnt and almost like there was a chemical in the sauce that was in the bottom. Very nice lady at the drive through tho at least. Wouldn’t recommend.
