About Happy Garden

This introduction focuses on Happy Garden, a Chinese restaurant situated at 6177 Jog Rd, Lake Worth Corridor, FL 33467, USA. As a local option within the Chinese Restaurant category, Happy Garden can be contacted at (561) 965-0608 or via their mobile number +1 561-965-0608. This overview aims to provide an objective assessment of the restaurant based on recent customer feedback available online.

The limited information available suggests a mixed customer experience at Happy Garden. One recent review details a significant order, including a Family Pack A, fried dumplings (fried well), an egg roll, and a request for white meat only in the orange chicken for an extra charge, totaling $76 after delivery and tip. This indicates that Happy Garden offers a variety of dishes and is willing to accommodate specific requests, albeit potentially at an additional cost. The availability of a "Family Pack" suggests that they cater to group orders, and the mention of fried dumplings and egg rolls points to common Chinese appetizer options.

However, this same review goes on to describe several negative aspects of the experience. The order placement process was reported as time-consuming and requiring repeated spelling and clarification, taking ten minutes. The delivery time was also lengthy, with the order arriving over an hour after being placed at 5:40 PM, despite the restaurant being only two miles away. This suggests potential inefficiencies in their order-taking or delivery processes.

More concerning are the issues raised regarding the food quality. The steamed dumplings were described as "practically raw" with "extremely thick" dough, rendering them inedible. The "house rice" allegedly contained "stinky shrimp," indicating a potential issue with ingredient freshness. While the orange chicken was deemed "ok," it contained "extremely hard bits" identified as "CARTILAGE from the breast centerbone" and had "over cooked rind," raising concerns about preparation and quality control. The honey garlic chicken was reported to have "breading soggy and falling off" due to insufficient sauce applied before being packed in a plastic container, with the reviewer suggesting the sauce should have been provided on the side. Finally, the reviewer found the portions to be "extremely small for the price," citing an $11 portion size for a small container.

Another customer, who claimed to have been a patron for three years, also voiced significant dissatisfaction. While acknowledging that "their food is really good," they highlighted a major issue with inconsistent pricing, stating that the prices change "Everytime I order," which they found illogical. Additionally, they recounted an incident where an order placed ahead of time for pickup was not acknowledged upon arrival, leading to a further delay. This indicates potential problems with order management and communication, which the customer labeled as "Unprofessional."

Based on these reviews, it is challenging to ascertain specific details about the restaurant's environment or ambiance, as the feedback primarily focuses on the ordering process, delivery, food quality, and pricing. The lack of comments on the physical location suggests that the majority of the reviewed experiences were likely related to takeout or delivery orders.

Similarly, detailed information about the full range of services offered by Happy Garden is not readily available. While takeout and delivery are clearly options, whether they offer dine-in services or specific catering options is not mentioned in the provided text. The reference to a "Family Pack A" implies that they offer set meal combinations suitable for families or groups.

In terms of features, the positive, albeit past, comment about the food being "really good" from the long-term customer suggests that Happy Garden may have a reputation for tasty cuisine when prepared correctly. The menu includes common Chinese dishes like orange chicken, house rice, honey garlic chicken, fried dumplings, egg rolls, steamed dumplings, and crab rangoon. However, the recent quality control issues reported by another customer raise concerns about the consistency of their food preparation.

No promotional information or special offers are mentioned in the provided reviews. Customers interested in any discounts or deals would need to contact the restaurant directly or check other online platforms for such information.

In conclusion, Happy Garden in Lake Worth Corridor, FL, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While a long-term customer once found the food "really good," current feedback highlights significant concerns regarding inconsistent pricing, order management issues, slow delivery times, and notably, serious problems with food quality, including raw dumplings, potentially spoiled ingredients, poorly prepared dishes, and surprisingly small portion sizes for the price. The unprofessional handling of a pickup order further detracts from the overall customer experience. Local users considering ordering from Happy Garden should carefully weigh these recent negative experiences against any potential past positive reputation. It would be prudent to exercise caution and perhaps consider alternative Chinese restaurants in the area until more consistent positive feedback emerges regarding Happy Garden's food quality, service, and pricing practices.

Just ordered a Family Pack A (which is the small pack). I added on fried dumplings, fried well, and one egg roll. I asked for white meat only in the orange chicken for an extra charge. My ordered after delivery and tip was $76. It took 10 minutes to place the order with having to spell and respell and repeat everything. That’s ok though. But the food took over an hour (ordered at 5:40). The steamed dumplings are practically raw and the dough is extremely thick. The “house rice” had stinky shrimp in it. The orange chicken was ok aside from the extremely hard bits and the over cooked rind. The hard bits turned out to be CARTILAGE from the breast centerbone. The honey garlic chicken had the breading soggy and falling off because they barely sauced it right away then packed it in a plastic container. The sauce should have been on the side. I will never order from here again. 2 miles, $80, over an hour for an early order, and most of it not edible. The only good part was the grab Rangoon and maybe the egg rolls. The portions are extremely small for the price. That little container is the $11 portion on their menu.

Honestly I’ve been coming here for 3 years. Their food is really good but the thing about them is that they keep changing their prices Everytime I order. Which doesn’t make sense, and not only that, I had placed my order ahead of time and came to pick it up only to be told that they didn’t know that I placed my order even though, it was over the phone. Now I’m waiting even longer to get my food. Unprofessional.

Not very happy with the food at this place, pretty tasteless. Also, it does take longer for the order to be done.
