About Happy Food

Welcome to Happy Food, a Chinese restaurant located at 6701 W Thomas Rd in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Chinese restaurant, we offer a variety of dishes for takeout.

Based on recent customer reviews, it's important for local users to be aware of potential issues regarding order accuracy. One customer reported receiving the wrong type of chicken and described the sauce as not being authentic teriyaki. This customer expressed dissatisfaction with the order and indicated they would not return.

Another review highlighted concerns about additional charges and the composition of "sub fried rice." This customer ordered General Tso's chicken with sub fried rice for an extra charge but was surprised to find that the sub fried rice consisted only of rice without the typical additions like egg, sprouts, peas, or onions. They were quoted an additional $8 for a separate order of vegetable fried rice when requesting extra bean sprouts and onions, leading to dissatisfaction with the pricing and the definition of the sub fried rice.

Given these recent experiences shared by customers online, it is advisable for new customers to be particularly clear and confirm their orders when placing them with Happy Food. It may also be beneficial to inquire about the ingredients included in specific dishes, especially when making substitutions or additions, to avoid unexpected charges or receiving an incorrect order.

Currently, no information is available regarding the restaurant's environment or any specific promotional offers. Happy Food primarily functions as a takeout restaurant based on the available information.

They dnt listen what your order!! They give you want they want to sell away! I order the combination chicken bowl with pork chow mein and the damn lady (not the young one she did listen) gave me dry teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki sauce was definitely not teriyaki sauce it was more like stir fry sauce but nasty!! Definitely won’t be coming for a second chance ever again!! Definitely Thumb DOWN!!

…so I ordered the general tso chicken sub fried rice, + $2.00.. ok, no problem there! The problem came when I wanted to add extra bean sprouts and onions to my fried rice. I was willing to pay extra for it but not $8 for an entirely different side of vegetable fried rice because apparently sub fried rice is just rice..no egg, sprouts, peas eggs or onions! So why charge $2 to fry my white rice in oil?! Ridiculous!!!

There was a lot of traffick and I was hungry. Decided to get me a teriyaki chicken bowl with rice and it was horrible. I threw it out. Tasted like they used very old oil almost like plastic and the meat was very chewy. The rice was kind if a soup very mushy. Will never be back to this place. I only stopped because I heard good things about it.

UPDATE: I tried the house fried rice and Mongolian beef. It was TERRIBLE. The rice was under cooked and had no flavor! The Mongolian beef was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! It was gunky and extremely salty. I ended up throwing everything away. I don't understand how other people's reviews rave about this place. I will never return!!! I ordered the shrimp lo mein & fried shrimp. The lo mein was ok, different thin noodles and lots of vegetables. There was no strong traditional Chinese food taste. It was definitely missing something. The fried shrimp were bad. They were thick with hardly any shrimp and absolutely no flavor. All I could taste was oil. The dipping sauce was decent. Maybe I'll try the fried rice in the future but I don't trust the side dishes. I have a feeling they'll be subpar.
